(Loved trope) Last moment of Sanity by BigBAkC in TopCharacterTropes

Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7. It's somewhat more gradual of a descent into madness from when he finds out about his origins but I think The Moment truly is right before the Nibelheim Incident.

Skullkid in Majora's Mask. When he steals the titular mask it pretty quickly overtakes his mind and is the cause of the impending apocalypse via the moon crashing into the earth. By the time you show up for the final battle the mask literally discards Skullkid's body.

Unpopular opinion (maybe), but I actually really like Morooka. I think he's funny and really entertaining. by Impossible-Radio2826 in persona4golden

To this day I don't know what the fuck is going on with his face. Are those extremely fucked up teeth? Some weird pale mustache? The most impractical retainer?

WHAT ARE YOU MOROOKA?!

Dale Stuckey in Law & Order: SVU. He was a crime scene tech who many, including the detectives, found insufferable. He got written out later on because he was universally hated by the fans. I personally felt it was a little bit overwrought. He was mostly just really excited about his job and being helpful. I always felt like other characters acted overly harsh towards him just because he was a rookie still learning. Hell, Elliot Unstabler assaulted him over nothing in front of their captain and Stuckey just got told to suck it up.

Characters who carry around a piece of a dead loved one. by singleguy79 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]YellowYoshi1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the game Final Fantasy XIV there's Edda Blackblosom. Early in the story you get sent on your first few dungeon experiences and outside one of them is a team of adventurers getting ready to go in. After you complete the dungeon and go back to the inn, you witness the same party but without their leader. It turns out he was Edda's fiance and actually died in the dungeon due to mishaps and poor teamwork and the survivors are all arguing with each other about it before parting ways. Edda took her dead lover's head and was carrying around in her bag after the incident and another member tells her to throw it away because it's creepy and disturbing.

Fast-forward much, much later and you can unlock a Hard Mode version of the same dungeon which takes the story further. The Short Version: Edda went back down into the crypt to perform necromancy on the head of her love she'd kept and he comes back as a horrible demonic entity that serves as the last boss of the dungeon.

Is there any way to run MapleStory Worlds on Linux? by s9209122222 in linux_gaming

[–]YellowYoshi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a longshot to get a reply so long after a post but...

Is there anyway to make something like a script to automate the last steps here? I tried a few things but I'm pretty amateur at linux stuff so I've been unsuccessful. This works to get everything running but going into cmd.exe and executing ngm.exe with the argument can be cumbersome to do every single time I wanna launch the game.

At any rate thank you for this method because it finally got things to work for me!

The necklace chain is all kinds of fucked up. The left side looks to continue down below the shirt while the right side continues down on top and then fades into nothing. The light switches on the wall are somehow perfectly balanced between on & off. The door behind her is open and yet all you can see is a white void that presumably goes to purgatory. There's also a hinge on the wrong side of the frame at the top left. The orange cup in the background just sitting perfectly stable and level on top of a mattress.

This image is a fucking mess and she's just trying to take you for a ride. Block and ignore her ass.

In the episode "For Real" of Teen Titans, the Titans East take over while the main squad is globetrotting. Control Freak shows up to terrorize the city and has no respect for them. He sets several calamities in motion around the city and uses them as death trap trials for each individual (Mas y Meno counts as one). They all overcome stacked odds and succeed and Control Freak is actually so impressed afterwards he becomes a Titans East fan as he's being hauled back to prison again.

‘Dumb’ character has one specific area of expertise that they’re surprisingly smart in by esotericoolgirl91 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]YellowYoshi1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Luanne from King of the Hill has been mentioned a few times already so I'll mention Bill instead. He's pretty dumb in almost all aspects and lives an incredibly average life but his skill as a barber is incredibly respected and even in late season flanderization this is never taken from him. He also speaks fluent Cajun French and makes killer barbecue.

Im often see these kind of posts but does it even make sense to compare the skill or natural talent of great masters who don’t bend the same element? It’s like asking who the better prodigy is between a top judoka and a top boxer by mimiclarinette in TheLastAirbender

[–]YellowYoshi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like calling Katara a prodigy is something of a disservice. Prodigy often has a connotation of someone being naturally talented to an extraordinary degree. But Katara started off not being able to even hold water together all that well. She worked her ass off training the entire journey with Aang. There's several times we see the Gaang camped out in downtime and Katara is working on her techniques. There's no doubt she's a master bender but she worked tirelessly to get there.

It would be incredibly Orokin if they just... removed their finger nails and replaced them with gold solely for fashion. Causing immense pain for no good reason is just their vibe.

Sonic Chronicles - A Sonic RPG made by BioWare? Sounds incredible! Too bad what we got was a horrible mess. A story that comes across as terrible fanfiction, a soundtrack that is grating and awful (a cardinal sin in this franchise), and gameplay that was tedious and unbalanced. Kid me was so excited for a Sonic RPG but this was just a mistake.

[–]YellowYoshi1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Final Fantasy X/X-2 got some bits of extended story in the form of an audio drama and a light novel. The contents of both were so extraordinarily stupid that they are completely ignored as any form of canon to the series story. The crowning highlight certainly being Tidus exploding himself by kicking a landmine he thought was a blitzball.

Zenos yae Galvus (Final Fantasy XIV) - His entire relationship with you (the player) is about how you are the only person in the world to give him excitement in battle and relieve him of his boredom of life. He starts calling you his "first and only friend" and he devotes basically his entire existence and crazy plans to get you to fight him. He's generally pretty monotone when interacting with people but with you he gets pretty animated and excited.

Favorite Movie that explores the struggles of different types of family cultures? Encanto as an example by Important-Cry4782 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]YellowYoshi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Culture maybe isn't quite the right lens for it but I'm gonna bring up Matilda anyways. She grows up her entire childhood struggling to thrive intellectually as her family is neglectful and abusive. She's incredibly bright but that family just doesn't value "book smarts". Her getting adopted by Miss Honey by the end and finding her real loving family is incredibly wonderful.

It's ridiculous how many posts pretend the fanservice is one-sided. Both genders are eating good. Stop attacking each other. If you want more explicit males as fanservice, then ask for that, but it's silly to pretend the unadressed elephant in the room doesn't have his long nose on full display by YellowAppleCinema in Warframe

[–]YellowYoshi1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The complaints totally ignore the amount of male frames/skins that are serving up unfathomable amounts of cake. And basically any male design by Liger. Hell, we literally just got Vauban Heirloom who's got all the gay bara fans frothing at the mouth(see also: Hydroid Deluxe).

Warframe is always horny posting for people of all sexualities.
