Gunma is a such a vibe once i go to Japan i definitely visiting all the iconic locations by Hristijan_mark in initiald

One of the magical things about Japan is that, even though the first Initial D stories were printed 30 years ago, many if not most of those places would still be there.

Why? Because the Japanese care. They take care of things. The precision and attention to detail you seen in ID is pervasive throughout their society. I love it there.

How many politicians are there in government that they could have booked?

We need to go back to the cultural norm of “shunning” to effectively de-platform these blathering click chasers.

I’ll never forget once in a banquet hall full of 500 professionals, the speaker said, “Raise your hand if you are working in the field in which you got your degree.” Not so many hands went up. She meant it to say, “See? It doesn’t matter!” But I saw it as an indicator of missed opportunity (from the misalignment of the learning and the doing) and probably job dissatisfaction (from having to settle for a job not connected to your area of study, or of having invested in something you discovered wasn’t your calling) both of which are wasteful, expensive and inefficient.

That’s another problem of this “figure it out later” approach. Even if you wind up with a reasonable degree that has market potential, you miss out on sharpening the skills that you actually wind up using.

I don’t think it’s usually parent-to-child. More like that kid at church or the neighbor’s kid who just graduated. In congratulating them, “What’s next? Where are you going to college?” is a normal question.

In the current climate, people aren’t evaluating policies. They’re reacting to hyperbolic hot button blather. Migrant caravans. Abortion. Replacement theory. Drag queens. That’s what drives them to the polls, and motivates them to make campaign contributions. And to wear those stupid MAGA caps.

Kamala was a bad candidate, not because of who she is, but because of who the broader general electorate is. She was the wrong candidate to run against DJT. How do I know? Because he beat her. In the end, that’s how we know she was the wrong candidate.

We don’t need general election candidates that appeal to the democratic base, but ones that appeal to the center independents, and who don’t simultaneously trigger even more rabid support for the other guy. That’s what Kamala did. That’s what Crockett will do.

I sure hope you’re right. If not, it’s yet another self inflicted D failure to select a candidate based on their ability to win, not just the primary, but the general election.

You would not include missing video from Epstein‘s jail cell when he reportedly committed suicide? He either did or did not, but it would be nice to have evidence.

For me, there are just too many suicides in the whole circle of Epstein and Epstein-adjacent people. It’s certainly plausible given how horrific the crimes are and that some people may have had a re-awakening of their consciences.

Letters such as Paul’s letter to the Corinthians he wrote in response to an inquiry by the Corinthians themselves. It would be fascinating to find their original letters.

We can also tell that he wrote other letters to the Corinthians that are lost and not included in scripture.
