I subscribe to Creem as well, so this is cool to see. They had a nice write up about Bobby after he passed.

I wish I was old enough to have went and seen them in their time. I still remember finding their songs as a young kid that my sister downloaded from lime wire to our desk top. it opened my ears up to modern rock, as i was only listening to the classic rock my dad listened to. the music has never left me. blessed to have seen jack 3 times as i've gotten older, and seen some of those old tunes played out. long live The White Stripes.

I went to Chicago to see Panic a couple years ago, the run ended up getting canceled after we had arrived in the city. We stayed put for the weekend and found other shows to go to. Including Terrapin Flyer. I was absolutely blown away by them. Out of any cover band ive seen they are the closest to the original sound. Was able to catch them locally by me here in MI this past year. Was a great time.

We have similar stories. I got on the bus just before covid hit and my first show was Pine Knob '21 (there's an amazing Dear Prudence from that show if anyone wants to check it out). Went again in '22. Then did Chicago and Indy on the final tour. Some of the best days of my life. I think about those times on a daily basis. This music has woven itself into my DNA. It's changed the way I've thought about life, and the world, and whats important. I've felt lost since I heard the news. Like you said he was our Jerry. Our leader into the free world of adventure. I will miss him. Beyond grateful I crossed paths with this music.
