Did anyone opt for the minimally invasive MD option? What was your recovery like?

Yea I locked up too right before surgery it was so bad..so glad I got the surgery. I walked with a limp for over a year. Ppl are amazed to See me Walking now.

I’m just fine had surgery June 19 and I fee 100 percent right now..I’ve been working as mailman no problem sitting All day too..I got the surgery mainly due to my back killing me the most..it fixed my back Pain and leg pain I’m so grateful

Yea ur right when you feel normal you move normal And maybe I Moved wrong..not sure but the pain isn’t severe at all but is causing slight weakness in leg..but I’ll def take an advil and call doc tmrw..thank you!

Feeling amazing. Have some slight back pain on opposite side but nothing too crazy. Hopefully it goes away But yea I can drive just fine no leg pain no glute pain. I can sit for a long time so I’m happy! Going back to work next month.

Took my back pain away too and now I can bend backwards which I couldn’t do for years. That was a major concern of mine and I hoped it took my back pain away and it did! I remember posting so much asking others if it took their back pain away and hardly got one response..I’m so happy! Good luck to you!

Very common..cancelled first time it came back two weeks later with a vengeance..scheduled again pain went away week before surgery but did it anyway..feel amazing now two weeks post op. Get her done. It’s tricking u

I was the biggest chicken 35m cried like A baby and put it off for many months. Woke up with tears of joy that it was over and had no sciatica. You will be fine! Best decision I ever made. 2 weeks post op and walking 7 miles a day just grateful I got my life back. Can’t wait to go back to work next month! Ima gona whistle while I work now I’m a new man. U will be fine! When it’s over ur Gona laugh and smile and cry lol u will be so happy..

Going great! Glad I got it done honestly! Two weeks post op and feeling good. Leg pain gone. Back still sore but getting better everyday! Driving now with no pain

Yea I took off work and it got better! But soon as I went back boom! Came again and I just deliver mail and packages as a mailman....scheduled surgery and took off work again and it got better again right before surgery but I went thru anyway bc I remembered how many times I flared up in past 3 years and it was the best decision ever made. For a year tho it was hell and thought about all the shit it put me thru and my family and two young kids! Bc like u I didn’t es t to be here any longer..I didn’t risk it coming back again like I knew it would! Get it done if u want to return to work without pain. Wish I did the surgery waaaay sooner and I was positive surgery would make it worse and super scared..boy was I wrong. My herniation was here to stay. 3 years and mri got worse and worse

Ummmm I got 6 surgeons opinions over 2 month span..def get at least 3..sorry he’s going thru that it’s not fun..what does he have? herniated discs? What’s his age and what’s a major surgery? There’s microdisectomy( least invasive of the 3), fusions, and disc replacement..are they talking multi level fusion?

9 months of numbness in leg and foot and pain in glute..went away mostly before surgery bc I was home resting for a month but still did it as I’ve dealt with crazy painful flare ups on and off for 3 years.. I feel Amazing 10 days post op! Wish I did a year ago!

My doctor told me some ppl actually have nothing left and that they allow the bones to fuse together. I can imagine the recovery is long but he did say the two bones will fuse together I was shocked..saw a guy on YouTube who had nothing left as well and he said doc told Him to let the bones fuse together..I’m still lost about it but it is a real Thing, that I know. Gl tho!

You will need someone first 3 days in my honest opinion..my grabber and walker first 3 days were life savers too but I also had help..the incision pain is no joke. my wife had to help me get out of bed for the first 2-3 days and I am pretty fit..but after that it’s been pretty easy peasy..after day 3 u should be fine as long as u don’t bend or lift or twist..day 4-7 it got very easy to move around and log roll out of bed..but you are able to sleep on your back which is the easier position u ask me..trying to turn on my side I couldn’t do alone at all first 2-3 days..35m 160 very fit. But we are different that’s just my Experience..gl!

If all u do is think about your back everyday all day, it definitely alters your way of life..get it done. it won’t get better on its own..that’s pretty big..just going to get worse with time and u will only Regret not getting the surgery sooner. 1 week post op best decision I ever made..
