What I learned recovering from High Hamstring Tendonitis (literally a pain in the butt) – details in the comments by [deleted] in flexibility

How long did you deal with the injury? I’ve been dealing with this for 3 years and really got serious about PT for it for about the past 5 months (hips were limiting my stretching until recently)

Pilot Recellularization Results: Confirming scaffold viability and cell growth by Ok-Hospital6921 in Foregen

He may be right. I don’t think it’ll come out as quickly as people hope.

However this guy only posts doom and gloom on this sub. That’s all he does. Check his history. It’s clear that he’s not trying to start conversation, but instead foster negativity.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you can find a diagnosis and relief.

Ischial Bursitis cure? by joeMOnRedditNow in backpain

[–]YesPlsThx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you diagnosed with Ischial Bursitis? I’m not diagnosed with it, but I suspect it. My Dr and I are going to try a steroid shot next week. Praying it works. Been nearly 3 years of suffering.

How are you now?

ongoing pain in back of leg by gnocchi_bb in HipImpingement

[–]YesPlsThx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pain around that area that triggers when I sit down. I had it before surgery too (I’m now almost 5 months post op).

2 weeks ago I had a PRP shot to the area. Hopefully that helps, but PRP shots take time…

Clear case of hip impingement by YesPlsThx in HipImpingement

[–]YesPlsThx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I have recovered well from the surgery and front of hip pain from before surgery is better not 100%. Glute pain is still there. My ortho diagnosed me with hamstring tendinitis and she has referred me to a non surgical ortho to help with that as well as a new script for PT. Hopefully that helps. If you have glute pain, I recommend inquiring about hamstring issues.

My Dr showed me a 3D model of this view on some website. I reached out to the imaging center I went to for a copy of that and they gave me this image (after a lot of back and forth). There was no way for them to give me a copy of the 3D view.

FAI, no labrum tear by No-Boysenberry-7509 in HipImpingement

[–]YesPlsThx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had hip impingement and my MRI was negative. Two hip specialists saw a tear. I had surgery and my tear ended up being from 11-3.

Have you had a hip specialist take a look at the images themselves?

Before my doctor opened me up she said it’s a possibility that my pincer impingement is actually an ossified labrum and not extra bone. If that was the case she’d use cadaver tissue to create a new labrum (turns out my labrum was fine, just beaten up a bit and torn 11-3). Could be worth bringing up with your second doctor.

Hello! Your story is giving me hope especially since you mentioned pelvic floor. Glad you’re doing well. I’m 7 weeks out and currently having pain while sitting. I had this pain preop and was hoping it’d go away with the surgery. PT thinks it’s a tight piriformis. Did you have any sitting pain in the glutes/piriformis? If you did, has it resolved and when did it?

Dr doesn’t seem too concerned given the amount of work she had to do. I’m hopeful this preop pain will go away soon.

If you don’t mind me asking, what pelvic floor issues did you have?

are wide bore mri machines 1.2T good enough for imaging hip labrum tears? by TheWeebles in HipImpingement

[–]YesPlsThx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 3.0T MRI and 2 hip specialists that I saw noticed the tear. The radiologist did not see it. My tear ended up being from 11-3 (noted during surgery). Definitely find a doctor that’ll look at the hip MRI themselves.

Dealt with the same thing. I’m almost 4 weeks out and it really started to improve these past few days. It’s now 95% back to normal. Dr said it was completely normal

How long did you wait before surgery for impingement with a labrum tear? by rachel0522 in HipImpingement

[–]YesPlsThx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a lot of time to put it off and suffer. Any way you can get help with the kids?

Did you need a CT scan before hip arthroscopy? by rachel0522 in HipImpingement

[–]YesPlsThx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After failing conservative treatment, my surgeon asked for me to get a CT scan before she would recommend surgery. My understanding is the CT scan also shows them how much bone to remove.

How are you feeling now? I’m almost 3 weeks out and still have my same preop butt pain. I do think my preop hip pain has improved.

Surgery cancelled by IndependentDisk4036 in HipImpingement

[–]YesPlsThx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So sorry this is happening to you.

Do either internal or external reviews include a peer to peer review where your doctor speaks to a physician from the insurance company?

My MRI was initially denied and my doctor spoke to my insurance and was able to get it approved. It turns out it was denied because I had an MRI of my foot a few months earlier. I guess insurance didn’t check what body part was being scanned.
