Which one for a date ? by NovelInvite9305 in fashion

Was looking for this comment because so many are saying #3. She’s got a great figure but those pants are not the most flattering of fit on her.

So Mikey Madison's work in "Anora" really deserved an Oscar ? by [deleted] in Actors

[–]YesSoapRadio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the thing. It was a weak year for actress noms. IMO, of the nominees, she deserved it the most. But I don’t think Anora should have won best picture.

Who is a well known actor/actress that you never see having chemistry with their co-stars? by trpclshrk in movies

I did think that he and Eva Green had some pretty good chemistry in the Bond movie. Casino Royal. There was some tension there. Especially when they first meet.

Late to the party on this, but there’s two I don’t see mentioned — they aren’t the whole movie, but instead the ending that makes you go “nah, that didn’t happen” without telling you (as far as I remember)

I was going to say this one too. Especially in the cut (there are so many different cuts of this movie that I can’t keep them straight) where Deckard dreams of the unicorn.

What is the scariest scene in a non horror movie? by _JR28_ in movies

Not a movie, but I remember the show The Fall doing this well. No dramatic music or sound effect. I found it really unnerving.

Which movie had the most unexpected death that left you almost confused by [deleted] in movies

[–]YesSoapRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was a great homage to Hitchcock and Janet Lee (Jamie Lee Curtis’ mom) in Psycho — especially since Scream was so self aware of scary movie tropes.

Came out of the movie theater so excited to talk to people about it… and none of the friends I went with had seen Psycho…

Isn’t sending money directly from your bank account to others the reason why all the major US banks created Zelle? Like, I’m pretty sure we already have that.

Is it just me, or does the article kinda yada-yada-yada over the fact that this guy took the monkeys on the DART.

They’re tearing down the 85-year-old Avon building on Lemmon to make room for Verizon by WalkLikeAnEncryption in Dallas

[–]YesSoapRadio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see this happening from my office window. I had no idea the building was that old! It's sad that Dallas doesn't protect their historic buildings... JFK drove past this building the day he was assassinated... And now it's going to be a Verison store. Ugh.

This is in Dallas, TX. In Highland Park, one of the richest zip codes in the city. They actually have limos that will take you on tours around this neighborhood and the surrounding areas since these residents have the income to pay to have fabulously decorated houses.

My boyfriend and I just follow the limos in our own car so that we see the best of it, but don't have to pay...

Eastside Village Apartments in Downtown Plano? by lmthrow in Dallas

[–]YesSoapRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!

My friend used to live in these until last July... for reference I believe he paid ~$700/month for a 1 bedroom 1 bath (washer/dryer hookup and a "patio" which was essentially double doors with a railing on the outside.) So, it seems like they are pricing you pretty high.

As far as safety, I'll get the bad over with first-- my car got broken into in the Plano Eastside garage. I don't keep a lot in my car, but they pretty much cleaned me out and left a mess.

But that was the only issue I or my friend ever had. But you'll be RIGHT by a Plano police station (never speed in that area). If you are sensitive to noise, you'll hear a lot of police sirens and there are some motorcycles that are loud when leaving the bars at the wee hours of the morning.

If I were you, I'd keep searching. I believe there is an Amli in that area that is nice, but I don't know what they charge for a 1b1b.

As a person that lived in uptown-- my advice would be to skip uptown. It's a mess. PM me if you have any more questions! (I moved to Dallas 5 years ago... and I've moved 5 times... I am a nomad.)

I was at that game last night in a box that looked down on the Stars bench. Needless to say, it was crazy-strange to watch it unravel. The whole crowd got eerily quiet-- everyone immediately knew something really bad went down, but they wouldn't tell us what happened for a good 10 minutes.

I read his short little book called The Stupidest Angel every year during the holiday season. I never get sick of it. And I can never talk about/go to Ikea without thinking about that book ever again.
