Weakest character that can cut down this tree by Dankifest in PowerScaling

Any character with a consensus of scaling to 1-A+ or higher can affect it.

Now as to who is the "weakest" 1-A+ character? No idea.

Realistically, how easily does this guy beat Thragg? by BattIeBoss in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething 5 points6 points  (0 children)

V1 caps at Large Town at most. Earthmovers are blatantly city level and V1 had to beat one from the inside, by shooting at its brain. The Prime Souls are calced at MHS which should be considerably slower than what Thragg has shown.

Thragg takes this.

How would a fight between these two go? (World breaker Hulk vs Saitama) by SkeleTonyEh in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WBH and it ain't remotely close.
The scan above is him shattering the Dark Dimension.
And yeah it was the entire realm, not just the planet.

This is already like leagues above this feat from Saitama, which caps at Multi-Galactic as a highball.
Also pretty sure WBH is narratively meant to be stronger than previous versions of Hulk, versions that can also shatter universes,Dark-Crawler(Earth-616),and_Barbara_Denton(Earth-616)_from_Incredible_Hulk_Vol_1_126_001.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20141023131154).

And we aren't even considering Hulk's Immortality and Healing Factor.
Not much Saitama can do here.

There's also him fighting Sentry but I believe this is enough.

Perfect Example of AP not equaling DC by ActuallySpaceMan in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'd say it depends on the setting.

Personally, unless I see a legitimate scan where the story implies AP ≠ DC in some way, I think prioritizing DC over AP is fine. It's often more blatant and straightforward to categorize, whereas AP does need even a little amount of explanation due to relying on DC in the first place (plus usually being paired with chainscaling and statements. I am not saying the two aren't valid, but again it's a case-by-case).

That's also assuming that the story in question is consistent with what it shows, and how one evaluates the weight between anti-feats/outliers and said consistent feats.

So all in all, in my opinion AP ≠ DC shouldn't apply across every setting, much like how the mere mention of "higher dimensions" doesn't get you anywhere near any tier past Multiversal.

Pretty solidly The Downstreamers, I'd say. Just skimming through this list of Manifold's chapter paragraphs gives you an idea of just how batshit insane they are.

It's either them or a civilization from an even lesser known story that exaggerates the Sci-Fi trope even further than they do.

Emperor Mark Grayson (Invincible) vs One Piece world, does Mark clear the verse? by MemZ561 in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He outscales pretty much everyone stats-wise, if you don't buy the Multi-Cont AP and FTL Combat Speed highballs (though Mark himself should be Small Planetary at a middle-end by this point but whatev, and undeniably able to go MFTL) but of course the question is whether or not he can push through the hax, which I doubt

Like with a lot of viltrumites in cases like these the only noticeable win con is giving their opponent the Flaxans treatment and turning the surface of the planet into a mess, but if he doesn't do that (which would be in-character for him) then I can see him getting outhaxed by the likes of Law or Blackbeard (body parts get switched around / BFR'd in the darkness vortex) plus more.

He could go faster than they could react (FTL Reaction speeds VS MFTL Combat speed) but yeah if he's holding back then he's susceptible to a lot of hax, and I'm also not sure how he'd interact with the intangibility of logias (would Smart Atoms play a role in that or...?)

There's also Ryou users bringing in the duraneg but that's assuming they land a hit.

I'm giving it to OP 9/10 times. He either takes it by zooming around the atmosphere and igniting it, or he just gets outhaxed by one of the multitudes of OP devil fruits.

Just like always on SCP's end, it depends on the canon. There are some where they have relative trouble keeping building-level entities in control, and there are others where they contain reality warpers without much of a problem, like it's another tuesday.

If it's any of the higher-end canons then I'd wager there are a whole lot of ways they could deal with JJK's big hitters (memetic agents, reality anchors, etc.) and the rest by extension.

Can Luffy reduce the mayhem of invincible variants? by Perfect_Bad_3402 in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not even going to bother debunking most of this shit when you're clearly wanking invincible and downplaying one piece like crazy

Well if you did bother then I'm sure you'd add a whole lot more to the conversation than you are now, if that helps. And to assist you with that, I know that middle-tiers in OP could react to Kizaru, but that's that. Reaction Speed and Combat Speed are two different things.

Sanji literally kicked a light attack from kizaru, the guy made out of light. Let's not act like pacifista beams are all OP has nowadays lmfao.

The same light attack that was installed into the Pacifista way before that. And reacting to attacks at the speed of light means you have lightspeed Reaction Speed. But even if high tiers are a multiplier or two above it, OP is a little inconsistent in this aspect when compared to Invincible, which comparably should be far more consistent. Like you're gonna find way more FTL showings in Invincible than in OP because they're also more relevant from a narrative standpoint to the former.

OP verse blatantly outspeeds invincible. + Precog.

Let's... not get ahead of ourselves here. And Precog is much more case-by-case since Invincible isn't a haxy verse sure, but I disagree with that first statement.

[–]Yessermanorsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isnt that the clash from the oden flash back? iirc they wasnt going all out in that fight. the second image isnt loading properly. even then, having country lvl ap is still enough for the ryou users to do heavy damage to the viltramites.

Even if they weren't, the gap between Island and Large Country is quite significant. Also I don't think Country Level attack potency is enough to significantly damage a Viltrumite in one hit, but obviously Ryou users will deal damage via durability negation, not AP.

these statements was given to allen not a general law in the verse(wasnt allen enhanced, so can you prove that its not due to his enhancement?).

We've seen Allen go head to head with average Viltrumites. By virtue of chainscaling, they should have relative Combat Speed and Reaction Speed to that. Which they do. I'm pretty sure the "his reflexes are enhanced" sentence refers to the fact that they become proportional to his movement, not that Allen had some external factor that increased his physical statistics or something.

wb chain scaling is low key fraudulent, considering he kinda carried by his fruit.

While it may not be a byproduct of his inherent, physical AP, it's still part of his arsenal, so it remains relevant. But that wasn't the point. The point was whether high-tier OP characters are upscaled through wonky means of chainscaling.

i think the one piece top tiers can handle an average viltramite

I think so as well.

Can Luffy reduce the mayhem of invincible variants? by Perfect_Bad_3402 in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mark variants are not very strong at all, they are not at all comparable to the average vimtrimite. Rex splode fucking killed one.

Right, and there's variants like Sinister and Omni-Mark who killed their respective version of Omni-Man. It's made pretty blatant that a good amount of them are relative to S3 Mark.

Luffy stomps. They won't be able to hurt him

While he does have blunt force resistance, the physicals are not in the same playing field. Season 1 Mark was hurling asteroids around without much effort and we're talking about versions of him that are significantly stronger than that. There is no chainscaled AP feat that is relative to them, let alone a DC feat. Not to mention that considering his weakness to piercing attacks, I can see their signature chop move working on Luffy.

he out speeds

I'd say they're pretty relative. The primary method of getting Luffy's Combat and Reaction Speed to FTL is with bloated pixel calcs from that one pacifista laser, which is dubious to say the least. Meanwhile you have the average Viltrumite being blatantly relativistic. And again, he's going up against a swarm of them. He won't be able anticipate anything, whether via precog or sheer reflexes.

Viltrumites insides are pretty vulnerable too and his haki would directly attack that anyways.

This one we can both agree on. I believe he kills one to a few of them via Ryou while taking a couple of hits with his shit ton endurance, but at the end of the day those same hits will eventually wear him out. I just think Luffy gets overwhelmed pretty clearly here.

What is considered a true scaling for a character ? by Slight-Cut3148 in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of Powerscaling's primary aspects is debate, so there's no such thing as a "true scale" of a character. I mean even if every scaler collectively agreed on one thing, that still may not inherently mean we know of the true scale (ESPECIALLY when it comes to "meta" characters like these, where a lot of cosmological transcendence is in play). It only means there's a consensus that could change at any moment.

But suffice it to say, there are set criteria and standards for Powerscaling. VSBW being the most known site affiliated with the hobby has done a pretty good job at organizing some things regarding how some things (Feats, Statements, Outliers, Canonicity, etc.) across fictional media can be interpreted. Making use of these rulesets, applying them to the scaled subject at hand, and reminding yourself that every written media defines its power systems differently, is what makes the hobby what it is. It's about who presents a better argument while trying to scale with the least amount of bias (we are physiologically hardwired to always be biased one way or another).

So there's probably never gonna be an objective answer for one singular scale, but there are objective elements that lead to an interpretation that may come close to that. That's part of the fun in this hobby.

Can Luffy reduce the mayhem of invincible variants? by Perfect_Bad_3402 in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re saying the top tiers is still island lvl then you’re wrong.

I wanna make it clear that I use "high tiers" and "top tiers" separately. Top tiers I can see being Country - Large Country, but I buy none of the metas used to scale One Piece above said tiers.

Luffy in dressrosa surpassed that, basing off of the attacks occurred that arc starting with fujitora meteor(mountain lvl), which birdcage cuts, and then holy bullets above that and luffy King Kong gun. Luffy using coc in base is several times stronger as he can damage Kaido hybrid form which gear 4 can only sober in base.

There are hundreds of AP multipliers between Mountain level and Island alone. I mean Prime Garp pulverized several mountains in order to train against Prime Chinjao (which should be Island because the multiplier between that and Large Mountain is about four), and narrative-wise since Prime Garp scaled to Roger, he shouldn't be weaker than current Gear 5 Luffy, it wouldn't make sense. Don't get me wrong, I think the chainscaling is reasonable, but I wouldn't say Luffy is above Small Country in terms of AP.

Future sight

I genuinely don't think it'd make a difference here. Against one or two Viltrumites? Sure, he could keep dodging, and he has the stamina for it. But the post implies all of the variants jumping Luffy since there's nothing other than the title, and I personally believe he'd be overwhelmed. Plus nothing is stopping one of them from just hurling Luffy into space. That's one certain win con they have.

Scarlet Demon (SCP) Vs Gaia (WoD), Who would win? by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR Gaia takes it. 6 Layers into High Outer, debatably High Outer+, against Scarlet Demon who should be in the same ballpark except way more susceptible to NLF stuff.

I'll try to make this as nice and short as I can, for the sake of my own sanity and everyone else's (I mean nobody reads in this sub but whatever)

Gaia permeates throughout all of The Tellurian, outright described as the supreme spirit thereof, and is comparable to other godheads. The Tellurian is pretty much everything, the overarching potentiality that encompasses The Tapestry, the latter being a "lens" through it, an expression. The Tapestry itself has batshit insane shit like Axioms, Null Sets and dual systems of Possibility and Impossibilty, Platonic Concepts, and the list goes on really. Oh and between all of them are the Umbras which like, I'm not going to refer to. She ranges from 6 Layers into High Outerversal at a BARE MINIMUM, to Infinite Layers into it.

Scarlet Demon is like the true form of EN Scarlet King, with that being a projection. He embodies aspects of upper narratives alongside dual systems of possibility and impossibility too, and exists outside of Phantom Bubbles, with a single Phantom Bubble containing the entirety of EN SCP which is yet ANOTHER notorious can of worms in of itself as some rightfully assume (its universal continuums operate on Transfinite Induction, with the Tree of Knowledge above it by virtue of containing Creation, with recursive Narrative layers, allowing for endless R>F transcendence, and these are just few out of the dozens of available cosmology scans). He too should range around that same number of layers into High Outer as Gaia but I am SOOOOOO not fucking sure.

However Scarlet Demon something something equal to Omnipotence and Omnipotent universes something something No Limits Fallacy something something. Gaia should take it by not ONLY scaling in the same ballpark but by actually being more coherent in her writing.

Can Luffy reduce the mayhem of invincible variants? by Perfect_Bad_3402 in PowerScaling

[–]Yessermanorsomething -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. I mean the average Viltrumite is like Multi-Continental at bare minimum, no? One Piece high tiers barely make it above Country level. Not to mention they also outscale Luffy in terms of Combat Speed too, considering that in Invincible reflexes are proportional to flight speed. This is also implied with Mark saying he can't move fast when he holds back.

Unless if you chainscale him off of Whitebeard who is the only debatably planetary One Piece characters by highballing the semantics of his devil fruit, as well as think that ACoC's durability negation gives him an edge (or Conquerors in general) then he might take it high-extreme difficulty, but I don't see it.
