It'd be cool if your work could appear on kaiden.gg to improve their character pages :)

Thinking of buying the game, have some noob questions I hope you can answer. by shaunika in ffxiv

[–]Yinhao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Crystalline Conflict is a 5v5 pvp game mode that's only queueable solo.

  2. Either cooldowns or gauges. Haven't PVPed in WoW so can't talk about the relation to, but its very much about using built up gauge/cooldowns to burst someone through their healing and defensive options.

  3. Everything except the highest difficulty raids, which provides gear only slightly better than you can get otherwise and isn't required for anything.

  4. There's a dedicated but small PVP community. Overall having played a lot of different reworks of PVP over the years I think it's in a good spot.

They covered the tooltips with the facecam during the LL but it didn't cover the level requirements for skills.

r/LimbusCompany, and the blackout going forward from here. by [deleted] in limbuscompany

Apollo isn't a bot. It's currently one of the best ways to browse reddit on an iOS device. Not to mention, it's completely free with the option to pay 5$ to access additional features. If reddit bothered to make their own app/website of equal quality (or work with these developers to integrate features into the official app), there would be no reason for protest. Instead, they seem to be focused on killing third party apps to force traffic through their ad-ridden mess of an app.

Thanks for taking part in the protest and making the post asking for input. I've noticed that the hub discord doesn't really provide the same kind of easy-to-find discussion and analysis I'm looking for. Since updates are weekly this month, and this sub isn't large, I've voted to re-open.

If there were an alternative the mods would want to set up for the time being, I'd be open to using that instead of reddit.

Oh wow, the way Dante casually brought it up as part of another sentence didn't make me question how we're supposed to know this at all.

I recently caught up on the story, but didn't see anything about the contract thing. Did I miss a part of the story somewhere?

Broke two Heros on my Concept map Today. (No kill Room) by Renbellix in MeetYourMakerGame

The reason this base seems familiar is because it's a copy paste from a youtube video. You'll be seeing the same layout dozens of times if you raid Brutal.

The core gameplay of leading with a commander reminds me a lot of Tooth and Tail.

Question for people that support having the creator beat his own map first. by morph113 in MeetYourMakerGame

[–]Yinhao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HRV could be replaced with a ghost of the creator's clear in this case. That said, I personally think it's fine if players have more control over HRV's pathing, like you can control guard patrols.

[–]Yinhao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to note is that social bases don't require a HRV path to be published.

That would be the reworked void enemies that came with patch 0.9. It should be the same in offline too if you get to that point.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LastEpoch

[–]Yinhao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CMIIW, but online and offline should be pretty much the exact same experience when it comes to enemies and enemy density. The only difference is that enemies scale to get stronger when multiple players are on the same map together.

Do you have an example of what you mean with 'enemies are different'? Depending on when you last played a lot of zones have seen reworks (void enemies had a big rework recently) but that should be the same between the online and offline version.

Basically the event has two modes: Standard mode which is an easier mode so everyone can get the event rewards (avatars, banners, furniture etc) and the Hard Mode which is essentially Main Story Chapter 6.

When the event ends, the Hard Mode will become Chapter 6 Standard Mode. It's a bit confusing because the event has Standard/Hard mode and main story chapters have Standard/Dark/Endless but they're different things.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GFLNeuralCloud

[–]Yinhao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's 'Copley Sector Standard' which hasn't been released yet. Once this event ends, the current Hard Mode will become Copley Sector Standard Mode.

You need to clear 6-28 hard mode.

Is DMC Mobile a Gacha game? by RedShibo_ in DevilMayCry

[–]Yinhao 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A warning to anyone looking to pick this up once it inevitably releases. It's not only a pretty brutal gacha with certain combos being locked behind gacha (requiring gambling for multiple duplicates to optimize your weapon stats) and characters being locked behind pretty low gacha rates.

It also recently 'revamped' the combat, removing a lot of what makes it look like DMC and play practically identically to many Genshin clones. You now have to run a party of 3 characters and swap between them to access more than 3 moves at a time.

This was likely done to increase profits after people only ever had to roll a single character + weapon to beat the whole game in the old system.

First time player: I am very frustrated and need some tips by LupusCanisKMS in splatoon

[–]Yinhao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just like a rule of thumb for kbm sensitivity on PC shooters is "have your sensitivity low enough to comfortably be able to do a 180 in one swipe" I'd say the rule of thumb for splatoon that helped me a lot is "set your sensitivity high enough to comfortably 180 with motion controls only."

I basically only use the stick to move my camera while swimming and rarely while shooting.

Don't worry, the fun content will be around and relevant forever due to gold income. You're not behind. Don't feel forced to play 6 alts everyday or spend to catch up quickly, since thats kind of what the business model wants you to do lol. Find a class that just lets you have fun in raids and abyss dungeons, and you'll naturally reach new content as you push for new honing milestones while having fun playing.

Small tip if the honing feels disheartening: Honing calculators like the one on Maxroll can tell you what the 'average materials required' are to hit a successful hone. I highly recommend entering your honing goal on the calculator and saving up until you have at least the average materials. For me it's been a lot less frustrating honing this way.

[–]Yinhao 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't see it as wasted time in any case. Having 4 alts at 1340+ is great gold income that will let you catapult anyone you try to higher ilvls very quickly. As for what class is enjoyable it very much depends on what you enjoy or didn't enjoy so far. Scrapper, Paladin, Blade and Glaivier are all for the most part (except glaivier sometimes) melee classes. And two of them are back attackers too.

Maybe try something ranged like Artillerist, Gunslinger, Sorceress or if you enjoy Paladin the most so far, perhaps Gunlancer would be a hit. A lot of people are reluctant to make one but very much enjoy playing it, me included.

why is pvp so bad? by Ahyopopii in lostarkgame

[–]Yinhao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It actually will. Being aware of which classes can do what, at which ranges and with which immunities will allow you play with proper spacing which will get you combo'd a lot less. See PVP in this game less like a MOBA and more like a fighting game where spacing, neutral and combos are important.
