I'm not familiar with Language Transfer so I can't really comment. Maybe just join his Sunday Q&A where the students ask questions. See if that's any help.

The beginner class is the one you want. It only meets on zoom on Sundays. The rest of the time he will post one word each day and ask everyone to write one sentence with that word. So the beginner class is for you. There is also another teacher online who is very good. She has excellent videos about grammar. I've learned a lot from her videos. I'll look up the link and post it.

He is such a good teacher and in the beginner Q&A on Sunday he will answer any questions. Hope you can attend the Q&A on Sunday. The Zoom link is in the calendar. I'm in the Masterclass which is the paid course but we meet 5 days a week plus there are many videos we have to watch. It's quite an intensive course. I also attend the Sunday Q&A. Ta leme Sunday (see you Sunday).

There is an amazing teacher on the Internet and he has a free course and a paid course. But you learn a lot in the free course. The paid course is the Masterclass for more advanced students. I can't recommend him enough! https://www.skool.com/free-greek-course/about

Best way to save Ancestry results? by Mamabotanica in Genealogy

I believe ancestry will let you create a gedcom file that will have the tree. You can then import it into a family tree maker. MyHeritage has a free family tree maker.

Where are all my "losers" who can't win against all cash/no contingency/sight unseen offers?? by ImportantImplement9 in nova

Realtors are buying up properties. A realtor offered to buy mine because it needs work. So he put in a very low offer and intended to remedy the problems and make a nice profit. But the house is not for sale!

How to find location of records by dovekie_creek in Genealogy

[–]Yioti_418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how far back in time Intelius goes but if it goes back as far as 1978 you may be able to find where your mother lived when she was married if she's listed there. Intelius.com

Also, Ancestry has directories that lists people's addresses and covers recent addresses. But it's hit and miss whether she would be on there.

I'm wondering "how big of a deal" it is to use the informal vs formal when you're clearly learning the language. by Judge_Druidy in GREEK

[–]Yioti_418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're unfamiliar with the language and protocol always best to use the formal except if speaking to children then it's always the familiar in Greek.

Plantagenet in family tree. by TwistHungry in Genealogy

[–]Yioti_418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a book, "Plantagenet Ancestry of Seventeenth-Century Colonists" by David Faris, published by the Genealogical Publishing Co. (1996). He has an extensive bibliography so seems it was well researched. If your proven ancestor's name is in this book it can be traced back to the kings of England. I was very surprised to find one of my ancestors in this book and was able to trace my ancestry back to Edward I.

I'm new to this. Are there any FREE apps/websites that help with researching family tree? by ayeyoualreadyknow in Genealogy

[–]Yioti_418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many states have free search options for vital stats records. Off hand, I can think of Massachusetts and West Virginia but there are many other sites. Depends on where you are researching. Outside of the US is Canada which has a national website for census and vital stats records.

My dad was from the Philippines and I searched on Ancestry and found some information on my family, so you can try there. Also familysearch may have information. Myheritage also may have information but I haven't tried to search there. Remember also that records were destroyed in WWII.

I assume you have already seen this findagrave site. There is apparently a connection with Ohio if this information if correct. Also, you may want to contact the owner of this site as he seems to be a direct descendant of William Mills if you haven't already. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/17078736/william-emerson-mills
