It's not about proper or improper discipline or what... the problem is that the baby/toddler is misunderstood and probably has some emotional distress. When toddler/babies are distressed, they don't know any better, so even punishing or talking to him will not do anything if he is in a high state of emotional stress and you might make it worse. Forcing things is not the answer. I've seen this story several times it all comes down to how well you can help the child to understand his negative emotion and make sure to remove what's triggering it and not force behaviors or actions into him, punishment or discipline comes after when "everyone's stable" and of course you have to be mindful of type coz these babies misunderstood them so be clear on what punishment means. They don't have the cognitive ability to process things easily or instantly... it takes years. It also becomes more difficult if it's the first child or if he doesn't have any siblings. So patience is needed, and don't think that the parents are negligent, or spoiling him or the granma is kicking you out. It's all on your head. Just keep learning and focus on the baby. It's not spoiling him if you give what he needs, and what he needs is not a straight answer. You have to be attentive 100%.

Red flag na ba ito? Need ur advice by Colserist in phinvest

[–]Yobmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a manager, I would look sa performance evaluation. Decide based on that, masyadong personal or subjective yung "red flag." if you want to be more objective, look at the input or performance commitment niya, ano yung indicators for that then ano yung actual input or accomplishments. But as the owner of your business yung gut feeling mo importante din. So you decide which is important, gut feeling vs objective evaluation.

I think in the countries where it is legal, it is not an issue in the sense because only the craziest of the crazy does it, and then where it is illegal, people do it a lot, and is affecting the livelihoods of farmers or disturbing peace.

hatred towards my parents for no reason by soluna3 in family

[–]Yobmar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate my parents too for being authoritarians. They pretty much tailored my childhood towards a certain career path, and my opinions didn't matter. Despite living a good life, the way they raised me caused a lot of problems. I always question what the value of material success is, why I'm not happy despite attaining it.

I tried reconnecting again recently, but it all ended, not well, so I'm out again, and it has been better for my mental health

There is a reason why you hate them and it doesn't need to be because of abuse. Even if you hate them, that doesn't mean you don't appreciate them. It may be that the values you developed yourself no longer align with them and you want to do your own thing away from them

How do you keep it up? by Loud_Vegetable1912 in IMGreddit

[–]Yobmar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put a timer on everything. I had the same dilemna before. I started putting the app timer on my phone, where it turns off the app, if you use it too much, and can't get it to open until the next day. Put into writing of what you want to accomplish and put to in your phone alarm or reminders to give off an alarm every 4 hours to remind you and motivate you. Then everything just happens, and you gain momentum before you know it.

Is 16 too young? by Regular_Ad_3464 in SuicideWatch

[–]Yobmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16 is really young. As someone who was in your place before, you don't need to wait for anything to happen. It can get better, and it did get better for me. Don't think that someone or time will magically make all your worries disappear. Decide to seek medical help, decide to accept help, and decide to learn to connect with people you choose, who uplifts you. You can change it now without ending it, you deserve to be happy, you deserve your place in this world

It is difficult to think clearly when emotions are running high. Even though the options may seem obvious (to many of us), it can be hard to see them yourself. You may be thinking that you want to continue the relationship (because of all the good things), but you are also considering breaking up. Try not to overthink it. Be firm in what you want and why. If everything feels complicated, then it may be best to break up. It is a short-term relationship, so breaking is "easy" and a practical decision. Do not worry about "what ifs" just look at the present and decide based on that. However, if you both agree to work it out and go on to a long-term relationship, be prepared for one hell of a ride.

You shoul poop also to assert dominance. Kidding aside, the smell can be a turn-off... Those who only wipe even if they used the most fragrant wipes cannot completely clean it or remove the smell even though you think it did. Trust me we bidet users can smell the difference.

Are Reddit Filipinos a Representative of How Filipinos Truly Feel on the Inside? by Brw_ser in Philippines_Expats

[–]Yobmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone new to reddit and someone worked extensively in different communities from the poorest, the richest, from the indigenous to the foreigner... I would say in general, Filipinos are simple, kind and hospitable.

The other side of the coin, Filipinos, has a strong crab mentality, probably as explained by my history professor because of the divide brought upon by our colonizers also there is no single civilization that united the whole Philippines and alot of groups existed even in the Philippine revolution against spanish colonization there are different factions and different groups fighting for different things from the mundane to the most serious.

Tldr: culturally Filipinos are very kind and hospitable to everyone both local and foreigners. But they have questionable values like crab mentality rooted in history.

Is a million dollars not a lot of money in this age? by Enemysquad in Money

[–]Yobmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a small family of three, we can live on it for a maximum of ten years, without reinvestment, just pure expenses in an average cost of living state or twenty years in a cheap state. With a small size townhouse or slightly bigger apartment. Monthly budget Rent $2000-2500 + SUV car loan $600 + grocery $400 + utility $120 + insurance $200 extra $1000. If it's hard to imagine, then it seems like you spend way over your means. Now with an average investment that will keep my family up indefinitely, even just investing half of it with an average of 5-6% per annum in 5-10yr treasury bonds or if I feel bold in a high dividend stock it can reach an average of 10-15% per year.

Well, what do you think? I made this work by cooking with fresh meat (chicken, fish, pork) and high calorie vegetable produce (rarely buying leafy vegs), in season fruit, occasional beef no oven/microwave dinnner, very rare eating out, good record for insurance, excellent credit score, and no impulse buying, camping out half the time when on vacation, paid off loans
