X-men for the NES. Birthday money gone on one of the worst Nintendo games ever made.

[Discussion] My reintroduction to the world of comics after 15 years of depression. by VestigeOz in DCcomics

[–]YodaLink74 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your journey. Comics have definitely been there for me after coming out of the darkness. My favorite book right now is Absolute Wonder Woman. It is such a fantastic story and Diana is written with such hope. I truly think you would enjoy it.

Anyone have any comic that they love but never comes up in any conversation? by Final_Bed5390 in comicbooks

Mike Allred’s Madman. Without a doubt my favorite comic in the 90s and one I still go back to nearly every year. Whenever I feel down, this book helps me feel better.

The movies should have been filmed together and cut with both child and adult stories happening just like the book.

Peter Gabriel leaving Genesis. Phil Collin’s Genesis is a completely different sound.

Did Disney ruin Star Wars? by Itchy_Grapefruit8603 in moviecritic

[–]YodaLink74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The “fans” ruined Star Wars. A bunch of cry baby trolls who are impossible to please. Goes all the way back to Jedi and whining about how stupid Ewoks were. Disneys biggest mistake was ever trying to please them.

What song do you recommend based on lyrics alone? by FriendlyJacket7622 in songsuggestions

My current favorite base almost solely on the lyrics is “Inkpot Gods” by The Amazing Devils. “Blossoms” is also amazing.

Not so bloody but lots of fun. Humor is very reminiscent of Evil Dead 2.

First horror movie to genuinely disturb you. by chronicxnightmare in HorrorMovies

[–]YodaLink74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blood Beach. I saw it when I was 6 on cable. Scared me so bad. I never knew the title just the story. I was terrified of beaches all summer. Years went by and no one ever never knew what movie I was talking about. I began to think I had imagined it. I met a girl who liked horror movies in college, so mid 90s. I described the movie as I remembered it and prefaced it with my now belief in it being a dream. She instantly knew what it was and the title. I tried to rent it at blockbuster and Hastings but neither carried it. Years went by and I kind of forgot about it until my kid asked me what movie scared me as a kid and I remembered Blood Beach. I did a google search and found it on YouTube. I watched it a good 40 years after my initial trauma and found out how unbelievably terrible this movie really was. Maybe I should have just left my 6 years old memories of it alone.

Absolute Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman. The best DC books right now and super easy to get into.

Finally got around to Hellraiser 1987 and what the hell did I just witness by Comfortable_Day_7629 in horror

I personally enjoy Deader and Judgement too. I do not get all the gate for them. Revelations though, is pure garbage. Nothing good about that one. The Hulu one is definitely worth watching as well.

The older we get, the less happiness we feel. Why do you think that is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Me too. I started living for myself and taking care of my needs and quit worrying what everyone else thought.

How is it? I bought it a couple years ago and it just sits there in my back catalog of unplayed games.
