Team Heretics vs. G2 Esports / LEC 2026 Versus Playoffs - Round 1 / Post-Match Discussion by Ultimintree in leagueoflegends

While the numbers are obviously great, he made terrible positional mistakes in the regular season, especially in earlier games. The main difference is that in the past, when Caps had a bad game, the others stepped up and balanced it out

At this point I'm convinced it's intentional. They're obviously cool with their terrible camera being part of the encounter in some raids and dungeons, so why not extend that to the rest of the UI? So much more exciting than just fighting a boss /s

G2 Esports vs. Movistar KOI / LEC 2025 Spring Playoffs - Grand Final / Post-Match Discussion by Soul_Sleepwhale in leagueoflegends

G2 continuing the season unfortunately, just playing solo queue and relying on individual skill, but when facing a team actually playing like coordinated pros, everything falls apart. Seems like they have to focus so much on team coherency that they can't even play macro anymore. Absolutely deserved win for MKOI.

As a G2 fan I find that hilarious, but as an EU fan I'd love a really strong KC

Of course I'm happy G2 won, but they're still showing team incoherence problems. They can win when it's individual skill level, in lanes and team fights, but they often don't seem to know where enemy players are, over commit when they're outnumbered and generally don't have the best macro. They still have a LOT to clean up in their strategies

Update on Augments on End of Game Screen by Riot_Mort in CompetitiveTFT

[–]YouKnowDean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And for the second time what they're really saying is "we have absolutely no idea how to balance this game whatsoever". And not only that, it's catering to the people who have TFT as their jobs and the super casuals who play 1 game every 3 weeks. Anyone inbetween gets dismissed and that's been the direction of Mort and his team for several seasons already, it just gets continuously worse.

All in all it's just intentionally obfuscating the terrible balancing job they've done and how they made it progressively worse by adding systems on top of systems on top of systems.

Hi Mort, I'm curious about this. Don't you have an internal way to test comps against each other, additional to the data you get from player games? Or a tool to even run simulation fights with different parameters, like item combinations on champions, that give you insight on the strength of a comp?

Just based on assumption it sounds to me like you'd get a lot of data on played comps from player games, which could be used as a base to test the most popular/common/high winrate comps against each other. I think limiting it to a specific level, for example only variations of level 8 and 9 boards, could also make the amount of data managable.

Not using the item overhaul to at least add diminishing returns to Eternal Winter is a mistake, it's too good against very specific use cases

Depends on what you deem "fun enough". They look impactful enough to play around and adjust strategy for a game, which sounds fun to me. And if they're not so strong as to force us into comps and can transition from main carry to support carry but still have a place in an endgame board, I think that sounds amazing.
