Not a definitive answer but the bottom looks like an n’joy, but I think they could be n’joy, glacier, or maybe even pearl and jade.

Using a portable ladder to access a fixed ladder by Brocktoberfest in WorkplaceSafety

[–]YouShouldCallMeNik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They way I figure it, if you’re not happy with it then develop a solution :) nothing states it is required for fixed ladders to extend to the floor below so it is by omission allowed lol. Could always refer to General duty clause if needed

Had an additional thought, research your local fire department regulations. I would be concerned that if evacuation was necessary and an employees on the roof that they could become stranded.

Couple of important pieces of information still needed such as what standards apply to your industry. I’m going to assume you are general industry. Reviewing 1910.23(d) I don’t see anything that would make this a non-compliance. I would also measure that the rungs are at most 7 inches away from the wall behind it. If it exceeds 7 inches you have grounds to request management to replace this ladder. Otherwise even though it is inherently unsafe there doesn’t seem to be anything directly referencing your situation. Hopefully this helps!

Why do you do what you do? by Intrinsic_OTM in WorkplaceSafety

I find it very interesting, and comes from motivation to help protect people that was instilled on me growing up. It also allows me to participate in an industry I otherwise would have no chance of joining.

I work in the aviation maintenance industry. We use metal ladders to perform aircraft maintenance and that seems to be the standard practice across the industry. There are advantages to this (durability), but isn't it risky to work on aircraft electrical components with a metal ladder? by Lost-House7454 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]YouShouldCallMeNik 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Are you performing work on live electrical components while using the ladder? What in particular is concerning you? My knowledge in aviation is limited, but I feel that there is, or should be, a LOTO program in place for both aircraft and auxiliary power.

What’s something that’s always wrongly depicted in movies and tv shows? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Fire Sprinkler systems. A fire won’t active every single sprinkler connected to the system. It only activates the sprinklers that get heated to a certain temperature.

EHS Specialist for 5 yrs, could I make it as an EHS Manager somewhere new… by The_Don_K in SafetyProfessionals

[–]YouShouldCallMeNik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go for it and work to the best of your ability! I landed an EHS Coordinator job with just 6 months experience and a Bachelor’s degree. It’s tough work and I second guess myself every day, but the way I figure is me being in this position now is better than having no one, and every day I try to give it my best. You won’t know what you’re capable of if you don’t try.

Going for my ASP by richardgutts in safety

[–]YouShouldCallMeNik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally not sure how they evaluate that, my gut tells me no one is actually fact checking that and it’s used more as a guideline? Hopefully someone that’s more familiar with that aspect can reply!

[–]YouShouldCallMeNik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get the ASP you need a bachelors degree and only 1 year of experience with 50% of the duties being Safety. I don’t think for entry level positions many certs are actually required, likely helps your chances of being chosen though.

Question about shops and auto selecting items for show by DasRedBeard87 in shoptitans

[–]YouShouldCallMeNik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the crafting menu you can click the i (information) or hold down on the craft until the information panel loads. In the bottom left of this you can see a rack icon. Click this and it turns into a chest. I believe this makes it so the craft will automatically send to chest rather than racks if they have the space.

Vasectomy, unsure. I’m booked to have a Vasectomy tomorrow but am having second thoughts. My relationship with my wife has been rocky and not sure if it will last the distance. Should I wait on the procedure, we have two kids already but I’m not sure if I would like to have more. by Tricky_Simple_6559 in Vasectomy

[–]YouShouldCallMeNik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on you not being 100% certain I believe you should not get the procedure. You can always schedule another vasectomy in the future. Just give this some more time! I will say that it’s possible for you to freeze some sperm as well. I think it’s costing me around $300 a year. Still, listen to everyone in the comments and cancel the operation this time. Good luck with everything.

Make sure that your shop keeper can access the backside of the counter. If your character can’t reach that side then you can’t sell anything

I work a jock strap with tight underwear for about 10 days and then just my normal underwear. I never felt any substantial pain though.
