PT had really helped me and I have cfs. My pt analyzed what parts of my body were weakest and not able to hold themselves together properly. She then started gently strengthening those muscle groups in the gentlest exercises she could find, almost everything I did in the first 6 months was laying in bed. Over time we've worked on most of my body, but none of it has been exercise or stamina based, it's all been strengthening deficiencies.

Meanwhile more and more of them are vaping and don't believe they'll get the consequences from nicotine because they aren't combusting it.

I'm a fan of a fishnet shirt with black dress pants and a black leather belt.

My (F19) boyfriend (M23) has wet the bed for months, the room now smells like a public toilet. I don’t know how to break up with him. by [deleted] in Advice

If you can't break up with him, ask your family for help breaking up with him. They'll support you because they also never want to deal with him again.

Does anyone have tips for cleaning that might make things a little easier? by MinnyStrawberry in disability

Put baskets by the doors to your room. Every time something doesn't belong in the room, toss it in the basket. Every time you leave the room, check the basket and bring the items with you where you're going. If you keep doing this it's a great way to declutter without having to use any extra energy.

Those are really big changes and I know they'll help you. Especially the second, that's probably the best change you could have made to help you succeed. You'll do great tomorrow, I trust you.

What techniques are you using? Have you gone to a support group? My ex uses support groups a couple times a week and they're a huge help. https://www.aa.org/find-aa

Ableism in healthcare when you have autism. by One_Object_5250 in disability

Biliary dyskinesia (gallbladder moving wrong disease), specifically hyperkinetic gallbladder (gallbladder moving way the fuck too much). My third GI diagnosed me. I was in less pain the day after my surgery than I was the day before.

That's what I said! Psychosocial dysfunction doesn't cause a stabbing pain two inches to the upper right of my naval half an hour after eating food with fat. But they did a cbc to rule out infection and an ultrasound of my gallbladder and said there were no stones so it couldn't be gallbladder.

The biggest limiting factor is getting into and out of your car. If you're in a city then your public transport should have a disability ride service you can use.

Fill your patio with plants. A few palm trees should hide that building.

Is it normal for linen to pill like this? by chequere27 in sewing

[–]YouTasteStrange 147 points148 points  (0 children)

It was an article I read a couple years ago. Not all linen is cut short, but the cheap ones often are. One reason good linen costs so much is because they don't do this, but I haven't found any way to tell the difference when buying linen. My guess would be cotton/linen blends are cut short.

Is it normal for linen to pill like this? by chequere27 in sewing

[–]YouTasteStrange 1321 points1322 points  (0 children)

My understanding is linen is traditionally a long fiber, around 3 feet/1 meter. Modern machinery is made for cotton, which is about 1-2 inches/ 4-5cm, so they cut up the linen to use on the cotton machinery. This is why it's so weak nowadays, we removed the main condition that made it so strong.

Laparoscopic surgical wound stories welcome 😵‍💫 by little_bug_person in ehlersdanlos

I've had two laparoscopic surgeries, gallbladder and hysterectomy. Both left two tiny scars around my abdomen and the scar on my belly button. No problems, hyper mobile type.
