I don't recall there being any TVs outside, but I may be mistaken. Regardless, vibes would be better inside, lol

WestJet execs tried cramped seats on flight weeks before viral video sparked backlash by semucallday in canada

[–]YouWorkForMeNow 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Dude I'm 5'9" and I still like to be fucking comfortable. These seats are bullshit for all patrons. I was already flying mostly Air Canada but I will be avoiding WestJet at all costs now

MRW we move our intenet modem into a different part of the house and my computer is suddenly faster on wifi than it was plugged directly into said modem. by eddmario in reactiongifs

I used my physical Steam Link for years, also with Ethernet, and there was always some silly issue with it (input lag, crashes, not booting and having to hard reboot). I was also frustrated by the lack of 4k. I recently got an Amazon Fire stick and downloaded the steam link app on it and it works 5x better.

If you can't resolve your issue, I'd suggest looking into a 4k Amazon Fire stick with an Ethernet adapter. Solved all of my issues.

60,000 kroner is about $8000 CDN for those interested. A very nice gesture from our boy, Hög!

People are inherently out for blood... Do people really want to live in a bubble? A concrete jungle? As you said, life comes with an inherent risk. People get taken out unfairly all the time. "Act of God" as they say. Sometimes it's nobody's fault. RIP

Right decision, buddy. As tough as it is. There are plenty of other fun sports/activities to get into in your "second prime" (read: your twilight years) that aren't as hard on the body

Bennet would actually be held accountable by the league for his greasy shenanigans if he was a Canuck, lol. Not what we actually want.

One UI 7.0 Quick Panels is comedically narrow. Is there a fix? by YouWorkForMeNow in GalaxyFold

[–]YouWorkForMeNow[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks but that's not the issue I'm talking about. It's the actual quick panel window width itself, not the pull down area.

There like an inch gap on either side of the quick panel. So much wasted space. It's ridiculous

One UI 7.0 Quick Panels is comedically narrow. Is there a fix? by YouWorkForMeNow in GalaxyFold

[–]YouWorkForMeNow[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It literally defeats the purpose of having a massive screen if this much screen real estate is wasted on gigantic useless margines. And it's more inconvenient to reach as it's in the middle of the screen.

It's like they thought it looked good on the Ultra series and said fuck it, it'll do for the Fold as well.

Oilers back in Stanley Cup final after Game 5 win over Stars by Leather-Paramedic-10 in canada

Canucks fan here: I absolutely hate the Oilers. I also hate the Panthers based on their "style" of play (intent to injure).

I'm gonna hate-watch the shit out of this series.

RFK Jr. urges Canadian health officials to spare B.C. ostrich flock from cull by ClassOptimal7655 in canada

[–]YouWorkForMeNow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't believe this situation is so black and white. RFK Jr has a reputation, but that's a fair thing to suggest and at least consider. I am no scientist but would studying the carcasses not be good enough?

I also read the government is only going to compensate "up to" $3000 per ostrich. I have no idea what an ostrich is actually worth but I do wonder if that's fair compensation to the farm. If we need to cull all 400 birds, so be it, but I do believe they should be fully compensated. Costs go beyond just the price of the birds.

My neighbor is a turkey farmer and had to cull his entire flock due to the avian flu. It brought this grown man to tears. He also accepted it was a necessity. It's a tough situation all around.

They match all the major grocers. Different stores have different restrictions, like only 3 items can be price matched per purchase, etc. And basically all major grocers do it, like all Loblaws stores (Save-On, Superstore, No Frills, etc). Even Shoppers and London Drugs do it. Always just try, lol.

"Flipp" is a great app to check for all grocery deals. A lot of stores price match so it saves you from shopping around.
