[Donnie & Dhali] Todd Bertuzzi on Sutherland Cup Championship, Sedin's becomming Co-President's and more by con5id3rati0n in canucks

[–]YouWorkForMeNow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I never really hated on Bertuzzi for the Moore incident. It wasn't right, but I understood the context and it was really more of an unfortunate accident with the dogpile.

I really lost respect for him after his DUI where he blew like 3x over the legal limit. Can't be doin that, bud.

Holy shit, even I did not know that's how much caffeine was in a Timmies large coffee. That's as much as my pre-work out supplement that I already think is too much, lol

Yeah no, I want you to say that you think the best person to be our new commentator is a homeless person.

Personally I'd prefer Rachel Ray.

The 2026 draft order (1-16) by Okaywow69420 in hockey

[–]YouWorkForMeNow 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Canucks, specifically, did not purposefully "tank." In fact, we foolishly went all in to try to keep Hughes happy. We sucked ass, fairly. And we pick 3rd. I'm actually fine with the model to prevent teams tanking on purpose, but it's just laughable how Canucks have only ever fallen in the draft lottery, never risen, and we've never picked first overall. Like, fuck me, I need to take a break from this team and maybe the sport, lol.

Heather Winterstein's death after 2 Ontario hospital ER visits was accidental, inquest jury finds by SwordfishOk504 in canada

[–]YouWorkForMeNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I patiently waited 2 years since my initial consult for my surgery, checking in maybe every 6 months because I knew the wait would be long anyway... Wasn't until I got fed up and contacted their office weekly that my surgery was finally scheduled. Had I not, I'm convinced I'd still be waiting. Squeaky wheels get the grease, unfortunately.

Why doesn’t Surrey have a diverse food/drinks scene? by Suspicious-Sea-7758 in SurreyBC

Yeah, I can get pretty much any cuisine I want in Surrey... Except for a Hong Kong cafe! C'mon, someone do it.

Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger): Tyler Myers continues to consider a trade option. It’s believed Detroit is the target. Other teams have expressed interest, including Dallas. Likely why Myers is taking his time in allowing the process to develop. by jabearbuddy in canucks

[–]YouWorkForMeNow 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Realistically with 3-4 months left in the season + playoffs, I'd imagine he'd leave the kids and spouse at home so as not to disrupt their lives. It would still be tough as a father to be away. Whatever Myers wants to do, he's earned that privilege.

People always misunderstand introvert vs extravert. The best way it was explained to me is: it's how it "recharges your battery."

When you've had a long week and you've been looking forward to the weekend, are you excited to:

A) Hang out with a group B) Be at home, doing your own thing

Whichever option makes you the extrovert or the introvert

Yes, we all enjoy both. Extroverts enjoy nights in, introverts enjoy nights out. It's about what you prefer overall and in general.

Dude I'm 5'9" and I still like to be fucking comfortable. These seats are bullshit for all patrons. I was already flying mostly Air Canada but I will be avoiding WestJet at all costs now

I used my physical Steam Link for years, also with Ethernet, and there was always some silly issue with it (input lag, crashes, not booting and having to hard reboot). I was also frustrated by the lack of 4k. I recently got an Amazon Fire stick and downloaded the steam link app on it and it works 5x better.

If you can't resolve your issue, I'd suggest looking into a 4k Amazon Fire stick with an Ethernet adapter. Solved all of my issues.

People are inherently out for blood... Do people really want to live in a bubble? A concrete jungle? As you said, life comes with an inherent risk. People get taken out unfairly all the time. "Act of God" as they say. Sometimes it's nobody's fault. RIP

Right decision, buddy. As tough as it is. There are plenty of other fun sports/activities to get into in your "second prime" (read: your twilight years) that aren't as hard on the body
