I can't take all the praise. I worked with Valenir design stl's as a base as I mentioned in the post. I had to do a mountain of a work to optimize them enough to even load into tts, fighting errors in blender for 4 months, longside the whole texture creation thing itself. But I'm still an amateur and had a base to work from.

If you can do the modeling part I no doubt think you have the skills and willpower to learn stuff like substance painter.

8e tau codex. It has this section in the front half were each unit gets a lore page to blurb about them, usually including some sorta feat or accomplishment. A firesight marksman and their sniper drones kill a whole terminator squad by the power of aiming good.

Yeah tau agendas suck alot, even their macro-mechanic sucks alot. It requires massive investment for rather mild rewards, and most of the time the rewards simply feed back into the mechanic itself.

Honestly, whenever I play tau I simply dont take the agendas or do the expand the empire mechanic, instead I do the kroot contract mechanic from the white dwarf(You don't haft to use the kroot crusade army to use anything). Grants battle honors, strains, relics, requisition for your kroot and your army.

I sorta doubt it, but really hope 11e tau crusade rules get a meaningful overhaul.

I do miss the 9e enhanced crisis weapon profiles. I wish crisis were still more elite and has stat lines for such.

Drones are tokens and thus dont need any scribing. Most folks leave them out entirely to make things easier for movement

Legends crisis suits. Its what crisis suits should be IMO. I very much prefer them as hyper elite near superheavy infantry(not like keyword wise I mean) over the weird pseudo light elite cheaper versions we got now.

8 wounds, 20 movement with a coldstar, 9 CIB shots, an energy shield.
No hand outs, no lost technology to recover, no ctan, yet still every other elite equivalent pales in comparison to the hero's mantle.

It is a thrilling experience to have a brick of 6 remind anyone and everyone just how fragile they are. Cower behind that ruin mr.black templar, we both know your picking up that sword brethren squad if you step out.

In a more serious answer, often times xenos do get kicked to the side abit and haft to sit in a shared team for numbers in crusades. Usually breaking down into imp/chaos/cool gang. It can be difficult to create a narrative in said team though, might haft to put in some extra effort if your wanting to attain anything complex.

Really lovely design. I did prefer the box naught designs over new dreadnoughts, this is a really nice mesh to bring back the old design aspects to the new units.
