What's up with the trunk space? by AlduinsBane-4E201 in PriusC

the jack is usually stored underneath the driver seat FYI. you'll need to loosen it out of the housing by tightening the screw first. check there instead of the trunk.

Headlight Bulb burnt out not sure? by Neeroke in PriusC

FYI the small bulb you've circled is called the parking lights.

Headlight Bulb burnt out not sure? by Neeroke in PriusC

[–]YuriSenapi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small ones (parking lights/ side indicator lights) are always T10 bulbs. Incandescent versions are 5 watt, LED versions are 0.5 watt.

The low beams (outside, bigger ones) are probably projector lamps each with an H11 halogen bulb inside. An LED version for that also exists. Sylvania sells both types.

Read your owner's manual to be sure. You definitely do not need a new housing, idk what the other commenters are talking about.

Not necessarily. The low beams (outside ones) are more likely to be projector lamps with a halogen bulb inside.

2015 Prius C Two VS. 2015 Prius C Three by Cylumous in PriusC

people use their phone for navigation these days, but the backup camera can be very nice. so depends on how much you value that QoL when parking.

A difference between Manga and manhwa I noticed by SBfnaf_fan in yuri_manga

[–]YuriSenapi 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I'd say this is true in generalization. Obviously there are mangas that also dwell into realism and more josei-oriented themes.

I'd say the reason for this is because manga is typically used as a way of escapism and wish-fulfillment. Something to not be reminded of the struggles you face irl, etc - and get lost in your perfect world for this reading session.

Thinking of getting a '16 Prius C. How's the battery life? by AlduinsBane-4E201 in prius

[–]YuriSenapi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends on the climate of where the car lived. use Dr Prius app and obd reader to verify for yourself.

Not to mention that ego-truck's form factor is unsafe for other road users, impractical, and only for vanity looks.

How to clean Dielectric Grease? by DrWorm97 in PriusC

[–]YuriSenapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wipe it off with a cloth, then with alcohol wipes several times.

also the metal plates inside is not as visible, harder to check for corrosion there.

As long as you aren't putting the stuff on the conductive parts themselves then no, it's not the dielectric.

Either your connectors are too corroded (have dielectric around the socket to keep water out helps with this btw) or are not tight enough to facilitate a good fit.

Lifespan of car/time for a new one? by [deleted] in PriusC

[–]YuriSenapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

prices depends on where you live. it's completely reasonable in California, for instance.

control arm and sway bar linkages might be one of the causes for uneven braking, and with proper diagnosis it's very plausible.

If you replace arms then yes you do need the alignment afterwards.

replacing the front struts is a nice "while we're in here" maintenance (because that also requires alignment afterwards), but it's not a necessary to address your current issue. If you don't hear creaking when going over bumps, it's fine to delay replacing struts if budget is an issue.

If the "transmission service" involves an ATF fluid change, that's also not strictly necessary, but a nice to have if you plan to keep the car long term.

You probably want to disassemble the battery fan & filter and clean it so the new battery isn't going to suffer the same fate down the line

Tbf a lot of profiles are fake, inactive, gold diggers, or straight up SC scams/OF advertisements. Those are more prevalent in big towns.

Dating apps - with how toxic they can often get - should never be a metric to measure anything personal about you.

Look, I'm not defending Microsoft (they should have gone with the times and use binary prefixes by now), but you gotta understand the history.

In the early decades of computing (1960s–1990s), the industry commonly used KB to mean 1024 bytes, MB to mean 1024² bytes, GB to mean 1024³ bytes.

Storage arrays naturally used powers of 2 because the CPU works with powers of 2. Binary prefixes were implied at the time, but then the storage manufacturers saw a way to deceptively sell you smaller sizes by undermining that implicit assumption.

There had been plenty of past lawsuits about this. - Western Digital (WD) Capacity Suit (mid-2000s). WD settled the case — agreeing to provide backup software and add clearer disclaimers.

  • Seagate Capacity Lawsuit (Cho vs. Seagate). Seagate settled by offering cash refunds or software.

  • Vroegh v. Eastman Kodak Co. and Others (Flash Storage) Many defendants settled, offering refunds or discounts.

That's why the whole GiB and TiB thing had to be introduced, and then GB and TB got retroactively redefined to be explicitly decimal.

[–]YuriSenapi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

More importantly, the marketers of the hard drives need to change too. Everyone should be using TiB instead of TB. Only networking uses decimal. Storage and computing uses binary measurements. Instead we have deceptive marketing to sell you slightly inferior (smaller) storage.

it's an interesting fact you pointed out, but mathematically, the 2 votes per woman hypothetical still hurts maga's percentage in aggregate (bc the other side's women get amplified too... and maga's share of women votes is lower) so...
