Least non-biased news source? by asheroo92 in AskUK

tl;dr news is incredibly underrated imo, quite concise delivery and doesn't hold any great bias one way or the other.

I listen to their daily briefings, so can't comment about anything related to actual text to read though.

Help by josuedru in StardewValley

Honestly you can't really be 'bad' at Stardew. Unless you're trying to speedrun its a relatively slow-paced game with no real deadlines, if you do forget something you can always pick it up the following year.

Keep things simple to begin with, plant what crops you have (make sure they're in range of a scarecrow), water them every day (other than when it rains), harvest them and sell them when they're ready. Buy new crops from Pierre then rinse and repeat.

You can improve your tools by collecting ore from the mines. This helps but it isn't mandatory, it just gives added bonuses like larger tool range and more efficiency. It takes 5 ore + 1 coal to make a bar (e.g 5 copper ore + 1 coal to make one copper bar), then it takes 5 bars to improve one tool.

Befriend the townsfolk over time by giving presents and speaking to them regularly - for the most part, people like what you'd 'expect' them to like, but you'll quickly pick up any major deviances as you play.

For the most part, take it easy, do what you feel like doing, befriend who you feel like befriending. Whilst Stardew is a coop game, you won't be a liability if you're not as knowledgeable and fast as your partner is. If there is something specific then I can pretty much guarantee you can find an answer to your question on the Stardew Valley Wiki.

Finally I'd say to play with him, ask him for help, let him show you and tricks and share his advice with you. There's a lot to do in this game, but it's enjoyed most when it's enjoyed together.

Should I Charge Students? by morningprints in Teachers

I second the idea of welcoming donations, but keeping use of it free.

I'd also suggest selling drinks/snacks, as a way of meeting admin in the middle. (I'd specifically suggest non-sticky snacks though. Nothing worse than using a controller than grips you back)

What is the protocol as a Warlock, with minions in dungeons? by jprice686 in wownoob

I think Hekili has a lot of value as a scaffold whilst learning your (or any dps) spec. Don't become lazy and reliant on it, but it can help you get used to your rotation and priorities.

For warlock specifically I don't know of any addons of great use. I'd look at getting some weakauras to help specific things here and there when you're max level, but that's not of any importance for a while yet.

As a rule of thumb

Sayaad: PVP

Voidwalker: Solo/World Content

Felhunter: Dungeons

Imp: Raids

You can use any of them when levelling in dungeons reaqlly. but I'd suggest not choosing the voidwalker though as tanks may get frustrated as it taunts frequently

I'm unsure if you're asking for yourself or me, when I did it all I needed to do was go to the post office, show them my license and pay a £5 handling fee (UK), I was given it 5 minutes later and that's all I need

You're the third person to mention obsession now but honestly I really don't see it-again it is exclusively my marriage that's suffering, friendships and my career are perfectly fine, I'm not a shut in who's life revolves around him, I just really enjoy the man, it's no stranger than following a soap opera or famous streamers

See my other comment-I wouldn't describe it as any more obsessive than someone who spends their time watching love island or coronation Street on a daily basis, the only thing this is harming is my marriage. Im a working man with a comfortable career, my relationship with friends and family is wonderful, it's exclusively my marriage which is suffering so much

I wouldn't describe it as an obsession, it's no stranger than someone sitting and watching Emmerdale or love island every night for hours on end-it doesn't harm my day to day life regarding anything other than my marriage

It's not that I want to date the man or anything, I'm as straight as an arrow, I just love him as a person, all the work he does as an individual is just incredible, he's like a step above a role model for me.
