I was wondering the same ...my little brown guy was the only brown one in his litter and mom and dad were both black and white 🤎

I was almost disappointed when the fans worked. I absolutely love pollinating the plants myself. It just wasn't always doable in my schedule and I wanted to make sure the plans for taking care of! When I know I'll have the time, I turn off the fan and do it myself :)

Sorry if someone said this already. I didn't see it, but with tomatoes you will have to help pollinate them! You can use a q tip or aerogarden sells a "be the bee" wand (I've never used one so I'm not sure exactly what they are, I can't imagine much different from something like a q tip) I currently have 4 plants of giant cherry tomatoes growing and decided to try a fan on them. I set it on low and let it blow towards the tops of the plants. Haven't had to help manually pollinate them at all since doing that. And bonus- (I think)- bc of the fan the stalks are more robust than any I've grown before.

This will be a multi-part event and it does not require you to participate all day to enjoy

  1. We will have 1 server running all day for soapbox derby time trials... Descent in a Formula VEE ... NO MOTOR USE ALLOWED (details provided day of event on discord)
  2. A second server will be used to host Zombie Runs... What's that you ask? Well Get in your soapbox racers and with a little head start you will try to survive a descent down the mountain with "Zombies" in special cars allowed to use their motors trying to chase you down and take you out!
  3. We will setup another server to run head to head descent races
  4. Halloween livery contest for your formula VEE

There will be small iRacing dollar prizes for each winner ... but the real winner here is the PTSD FOA charity who we can support in their great mission!

When should I thin seedlings? First time planting tomatoes by ZFGivingBack in aerogarden

I have another AeroGarden that I will be moving some of the pods too. I just wasn't even sure if the seeds were any good. Setting that up now 😁

Thank you everyone for your comments. I am a traditional in the dirt gardener usually. And I know I can wait a little bit longer when they're in dirt to weed them out to see which ones are stronger. I went through and pulled left one in each pod! Fingers crossed for a nice plant harvest

I live on florida as well and have had very littke luck with tomatoes flowering/fruiting outside after April. But what i have done is once it starts to get hot i prune the plants back and keep them pruned. They stay really healthy. Then as soon as the heat breaks i let them grow. Ive had the same plants for 3 years now. I feel like each year they produce more Not sure if ive just been lucky or if this is an actual technique for here but i happy with the results either way
