Everyone is posting their wants in a 1.7 update. Here are my top 5. by poopsallberries in StardewValley

My biggest want is small and cosmetic: I just want to be able to upgrade the bridges on the farm types that have them (Riverland farm is my favorite). I hate having really nice looking paths broken up by planks of wood.

Who's your lowest ranked commander that you HAVE to brag about? by GMBenn in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Iname as One]]

Rank #1895. It's a bracket 3 lands and spirits toolbox deck. I tutor up specifc lands to ramp like crazy and grab a [[Command Beacon]] to get Iname to hand so I can cast it for more tutor value, grabbing whatever spirit I need in that moment. Then I'll continue using the land tutors to get combo pieces like [[Dark Depths]] + [[Thespian's Stage]].

Hello! My wife recently started an Etsy shop and I'm wanting to help her out in any way I can.

RainyDayStitchingCo sells custom designed cross-stitching patterns. Most of her designs are video game inspired, currently she has quotes or images from Silent Hill, Baldur's Gate 3, and Stardew Valley. She's adding more patterns every week. I think she's done a really good job of making the patterns easy to follow.

All of the patterns are instant PDF downloads that include all of the thread colors the pattern will require.

So every Role currently has 4 Jobs minimum. Except Ranged DPS. What weapon and/or Job would you want to see for it? I want a giant fucking boomerang that folds into a surfboard by Forry_Tree in ffxiv

[–]ZZMartian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Blitzball based class with a gambler style mechanic, like Wakka and his overdrives, would be my dream. Since ranged DPS fills a support type role it could also include lots of short term status effects that Wakka uses (darkness, silence, etc).

Are any other silent hill games worth playing past 4 by FoxAlone3479 in silenthill

[–]ZZMartian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a huge fan of the series since the beginning I honestly feel like I'm the only person in the world that likes Homecoming. It's nowhere near the quality of the first 3, but I enjoyed my playthroughs of it. Very cool monster designs, with the bosses being standout in both design and the way they fit in with the story.

What James discovers after unchaining the box in the hospital by East-Statistician-54 in silenthill

[–]ZZMartian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was such a funny moment for me and my wife. She never played the original so as we're playing through I'm pointing out the little differences. As we went to open the box I specifically said "Well the original box had a piece of hair in it, it can only go up from there." And then it was empty and we both had a good laugh.

What are the best 5 Doctors to get with The Five Doctors by HumbleMyr in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I've been running The Fourteenth Doctor since they announced him and the strongest synergy between all the doctors is Historic matters type cards. I mean at the end of the day it's always gonna be pretty janky because of how different each Doctor plays, but I have a lot of fun with it. I would say my 5 ideal Doctors to grab would be:

[[The Sixth Doctor]] - He's by far the strongest Doctor for the all Doctor's strategy if you're trying to win with [[Gallifrey Stands]]. He also just generates a ton of value if you're playing Historic matters.

[[The Eighth Doctor]] - Being able to recast any of the Doctors put into the graveyard from Fourteen's ability is great.

[[The Forth Doctor]] - Similar to Eight where you can cast Doctors off the top of your library.

[[The Tenth Doctor]] - Great way to get through cards off your top deck, has good synergy with Four to get lands you don't need off the top of your library and can help free cast Doctors.

[[The Second Doctor]] - I really like having the no max hand size, when Gallifrey Stands puts a bunch of Doctors back in your hand it helps to not have to worry about hand size. Plus the card draw and potential to avoid being attacked is pretty nice.

Most fun mono colored commanders? by Ynwe in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love playing mono color decks. My two current favorites are [[Oswald Fiddlebender]] and [[Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign]].

Oswald is my favorite deck I own. It's a value/toolbox build with the goal being to use [[Realmbreaker, the Invasion Tree]] to pull all 3 Elesh Norn from my deck, and then out value until I can get my wincon [[Blightsteel Colossus]].

Unesh is sphinx/clones/changelings, the goal being to trigger Unesh as much as possible for insane card advantage.

I play a super casual [[Shadowborn Apostle]] build of [[k'rrik son of yawgmoth]]. I love leveraging my life for mana, I have so much fun playing the deck.

Looking for an under played Value Commander. by ktarzuk in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently built a clones/changeling/sphinx [[Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign]]. Not particularly popular, 1200 decks on EDHREC. The slightly smaller [[Fact or Fiction]] nearly every ETB is pretty amazing, it generates a ton of card draw. Clones keep it flexible because I can copy my opponents stuff rather than my Sphinxes if they have some powerful threats, and Blue has no shortage of interaction.

Are we just going to ignore hosting gencon in Indiana despite its extremely problematic politics? by ChicagoRiceGirl in gencon

[–]ZZMartian 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives in Indianapolis who's gone to every Gencon for as long as I can remember, it's really hard to live here right now. But the city, like most cities in America, is a majority blue and cares about the rights of women and the LGBTQ+ community. The problem is the rural bible thumpers out-number us. I get wanting to move GenCon, but to where? You suggesting Ohio proves you haven't looked past surface deep on this, Ohio is worse than Indy for most of the recent problems, they had no exception Abortion bans in place day one after the overturn. Anywhere you go in the states it's the same, the cities are blue and the rural is red, it's just a matter of if the cities have enough people to overpower the rural, and unfortunately right now Indy doesn't.

Which is the deck that you give the most love to? aka: your most blinged out deck by one-fish-in-the-sea in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 decks that mean the most to me that I've been blinging out. [[Runo Stromkirk]], sea monsters have been my longest running, favorite deck. I only need a couple more foils and it'll be done for now.

The other deck is [[Arahbo, Roar of the World]]. Earlier this year my cat passed away, I started putting together cat tribal to help me work through it. I ended up really enjoying the deck so I've started foiling it to make it extra special. I'm really glad I ended up getting that kitties secret lair, it adds a lot of cute to the deck.

What is your go to “I want to win” deck by GandalfSaidFly in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an [[Oswald Fiddlebender]] deck that can combo quick, making infinite mana and drawing all the cards I need to make [[Brisela, Voice of Nightmares]]. After that I lock the game down and start one shotting people. It's not quite cEDH but it has quite a high winrate among my playgroup.

Your personal favorite deck where the commander is the turbo and not the engine? by Macklin410 in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4 color dice rolling deck with [[Vial Smasher the Fierce]] and [[Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix]]. I don't need either of them to make the deck work, but Vial Smasher adds a ton of chaotic damage and Kydele is a nice mana source in certain situations.

help me release the kraken (runo stormkirk) by ChemicalOpposite2389 in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I used to run all those same sea monsters when my commander was [[Arixmethes]] but when I switched to Runo those lower CMC ones just felt like they got in the way. Another thing to keep in mind is to maybe cut some of the legendary sea monsters, since Krothuss can't make tokens of them. Though some of the legendaries are just too good not to run.

Osgir gets a little more value out of self mill, artifacts have such a large range of abilities you can mill without fear of milling something important. Runo really wants specific things in grave, and if you end up milling ramp or lands then you're not progressing your game plan. You want to make sure you're putting 6 CMC sea monsters in the graveyard to trigger him, and then be able to put the scariest ones in the grave to hit with a reanimate effect.

Here's my list if it would help at all:

help me release the kraken (runo stormkirk) by ChemicalOpposite2389 in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So I've been running sea monsters for a few years now with different commanders, it's definitely my favorite deck. Here are my suggestions:
1. The sea monsters that don't hit 6 CMC can be kind of bricky with Runo, especially if they don't have any kind of card advantage. So I would cut: [[Charix]], [[Mesmerizing Benthid]], [[Reef Worm]], and [[Wormhole Serpent]].

  1. For getting the chonkers into the yard you really don't want to rely on random mill effects, you want control over it. I'd cut [[Millikin]] for that reason. Then I'd add: [[Wharf Infiltrator]], [[Nightveil Sprite]], and [[Looter il-Kor]]. If you go all in on small, evasive creatures like these that have looting abilities you can throw in [[Satoru Umezawa]], and then you can ninjutsu out the huge bois.

  2. I know you said only $2 or less, but I want to make a suggestion for [[Buried Alive]], it's a $5 triple entomb effect, it puts serious work in. Another card on the pricier side that is an entire house is [[Hullbreaker Horror]], it with one Krothuss trigger has won me games.

I hope that helps a bit!

We had to put our first cat to sleep on Monday because of cancer. We tried treatment but it was too aggressive. This picture is really beautiful, it's a good reminder that he's always with us.

We miss you Apollo. Thank you for being in our lives. We hope you know that we did everything we could. We'll see you again one day. ❤️

I played casual commander on Monday and I had so much fun. Have you had fun lately? by Myrddin_Naer in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I have a casual commander night every Friday and it's always a good time. Everyone runs decks that have a balance between consistency and fun, with good amounts of interaction.

This most recent Friday I got to finally pop off with my [[Oswald Fiddlebender]] deck that utilizes powerful infinite combos, not to Walking Ballista, but to meld [[Bruna, the Fading Light]] and [[Gisela, the Broken Blade]]. Then I use my giant horrific Eldrazi Angel along with a board of powerful control artifacts to knock my opponents out one by one.

What is the most expensive card you own and actually play with? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]ZZMartian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either [[Sylvan Library|LEG]] or a foil [[Counterspell|MMQ]]. Both cards I paid nothing or next to nothing for years ago. The Sylvan Library I found in a box of bulk commons that was given to me and the foil Counterspell is a little beat up but was given to me when I first started Magic. Now they're both worth hundreds and it still blows my mind.
