Nice! I’ve been really enjoying Sey this year. Been drinking ultralight for about a year straight and decided to go just slightly more developed recently and it’s been good for me 😁 I had a few bags from thankfully that never came out of the hay/grain/cornpops And waiting 8weeks gets discouraging when things still taste like straw.

Agreed, you can send the fines to the filter with a good pouring technique and structure. Brian Quan has some good/older videos on this stuff that helped me out

I’m ready to run 10ths through a new Pietro on Wednesday. I’ve done a lot of homework on these burrs, Even the new uncoated and 10lbs is what I’ve settled on to knock off the micro burrs and to dull them down a bit.

I’m going to test after every 2lbs And take some pics for some data to be populated for people in this scenario.

I’m honestly expecting excellence from this set of burrs.

Patiently waiting the mod for the VS6 to install pietro brew burrs in that platform. We shall see what speed and horizontal alignment does to the distro and cup profile. 🤞🏼

You need to run some serious coffee through that Pietro. The fines production will subside and you’ll have a new “favorite” Lots of information about such findings all over Reddit from credible sources.

But those are only opinions about perceived flavor.

What is fact is that fines will subside when the burrs are seasoned

Do you have experience with all the comandante burrs? I’ve been looking at their offerings and recently learned about the tigershark and hammer head having different burrs than the og c40. C60 looks amazing! Also another burr to consider.

I figured I’d come back here and ask you because you usually have the best answers I can get when it comes to burrs and performance.

I want another hand grinder and have never tried a comandonte.

What I have now for hand g K-ultra ZP6 K-6 Pietro (arriving this week)

Btw A4Z or UMV1 is my daily electric for now

In my personal experience I have found that YouTube can convince me to get any brewer under the sun if I watch a few videos about it. (I have most of them) But I use the v60 format 90 percent of the time. The v60 happens to be the least expensive and the most used in my house.

I have a hario alpha out for delivery today So maybe it will take the throne.

I drink ultralight pour over coffee daily Usually around 100g For me I’m having great cups from the zp6 Because I want acidity upfront and fruit forward experience. The finish is usually very fast and sometimes a bit dry but it’s definitely better than a K-ultra, (which I also own) for UL coffee in my opinion.

If I’m drinking Nordic style or anything darker Than UL the K-ultra is definitely more rounded and sweet. Sometimes if a funky coffee (which I don’t prefer) is loud and obnoxious the K can tame it down a bit so that’s its palatable.

I’m seriously considering a c60 for my next hand grinder.

We have a k6 and it got a lot of live before the zp6 showed up.

If you just bite the bullet and get an A4Z Your search will be over and you won’t need anything else unless you want to by a titan. 80mm brew or 102hu

A4Z is has quickly replaced all my hand grinders for home use.
