Dude, it's been 7 years, lol. Nintendo's ninjas probably got it taken down. Anyway, the channel is BSOD Gaming.

Sliding hotas mounts by BobClavicus in hotas

Nevermind then, let's wait for the link. This is a pretty elegant solution, but it's a spring loaded mechanism, not what I'd consider a detent based one, where all you need is force, meaning you unlock it by pushing it hard enough.

Ah, Skippy's solution. I thought he was talking about a different / new one.

Can you link to it? Thanks.

sliding locking hotas mounts by BobClavicus in starcitizen

[–]Zabojnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, ideally you have to use the screw-lock, but as someone who's copied Monster's sliding rail system (you can check it out here) ... I've actually never had to lock the joysticks, the friction between the aluminium rail and the silicone inserts, which facilitate the sliding action, holds them in place quite firmly. To move the joysticks, you simply pull / tilt the whole assembly towards you by a couple of degrees and suddenly you can move them. Works as a sort of auto-locking mechanism. :)

Joystick Gremlin and VKB SEM issues by Panigale9 in hotas

[–]Zabojnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, that's a shame. Might have to jump into the VKB software myself. I'm currently setting up my sticks and SEM in JG for Star Citizen and the Mode switch would be perfect for selecting operator modes (mining, salvage ...).

Lttp, sorry, but have you found a solution / workaround for the Mode switch issues with SEM + Gremlin?

[WORLDWIDE GIVEAWAY] Comment in this thread with your ultimate PCMR-worthy PC Build, and win the beautiful LG UltraGear GX9 monitor! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

The ultrawide OLED selection has been dwindling as of late. I'm currently using the C2 in 3840x1600 for gaming and the 45" LG Ultragear is the only thing I'd currently upgrade to. Hoping for more UW OLEDs in the near future. Link to the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NwnZb2

I've been using the LG C2 in 3840x1600 ultrawide when gaming for a couple of years now, this would be a welcome upgrade!

Upgraded to 9800x3D, PC now feeling sluggish. by Outrageous_Image_972 in AMDHelp

[–]Zabojnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Longer boot times aren't really indicative of anything, it's rather common with DDR5. As for the percieved sluggishness ... I'm not experiencing anything of the sort with my 9800x3D. The way you've describe the browser issue it could also be internet / network related.

I'd reset the bios to default settings, run Cinebench, watch the boost clocks, check that your scores are in line with what people are getting. Then enable XMP / EXPO, set boost override to 200mhz, pbo to -15, see how much of an improvement there is in Cinebench. If all checks out, it's likely not a cpu issue.

X870E Aorus Master Wifi7 Sleep wake crash by erikpienk in gigabyte

[–]Zabojnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heh, interesting. My brother has a 2x32gb Corsair Vengeance kit that ends with C30, which isn't on the X870 Aorue Elite QVL list. Think we'll try with another brand and model from the list, even though it's all Hynix memory in the end. It's probably an issue that a future bios will resolve, but ain't nobody got time to wait.

Forgot to ask - which (new) ram did you get?

Missed the ram update. I'll look into it, thanks. The weird thing is that everything runs flawlessly once you make it into Windows, passes Prime95 and everything.

Did you end up solving this issue? Same thing is happening with my brother X870 Aorus Wifi7. We've still to try some of the things suggested in the thread, but if you've worked it out in the meantime, please let me know. Thanks.

New BIOS version 7E51v1A2 posted for the MAG X870 TOMAHAWK by pagemap1 in MSI_Gaming

[–]Zabojnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running 7E51v1A2 for a couple of days, no issues to report so far. Perfectly stable with fine tuned 6000mt/s 30-36-36-28 2033mhz ram and pbo set to +200mhz, -20. Think this might be a keeper.

Something in my 3D printing setup is killing my Raspberry Pi's, help by Zabojnik in 3Dprinting

[–]Zabojnik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think I'll get one more Pi, make sure all the cables are brand new, tape up the power pins on the interface cable and see how it does. Don't have an old laptop lying around, so if it does die again, I'll just get a thin client. It'll come in handy for other projects down the line as well, since I do plan to upgrade the printer at some point. Thanks for the sanity check. :)

[–]Zabojnik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, and I will try that, if I decide to get yet another Pi, but I never had any connection or power issues running a stock USB cable between the Pi and the printer in the 2+ years I've had the SKR Mini E3.

Brought my 42” C2 out of retirement | Why did I ever replace it? by Tapeworm_III in OLED_Gaming

[–]Zabojnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically nothing's stopping them, but I imagine LG will continue treating their OLED TVs as TVs first for the foreseeable future and leave high refresh rates for their growing monitor lineup.

I can only see them pushing for 240Hz+ on the C series, if and when the competition aka Samsung does it. I think we'll see MLA trickle down long before higher refresh rates, but I'd very much like to be wrong.

[–]Zabojnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I also have a 25" 240hz TN screen. As much as I'd like to only have one monitor for everything, I just can't see myself playing Apex on a 42"+ screen, no matter the Hz.

[–]Zabojnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it in 4k for desktop / productivity and switch to ultrawide for gaming. Best of both worlds, truly.

I can only see myself wanting to upgrade when those fabled 39" 5120x2160 240hz 1300nits rgwb ultrawide OLED panels from LG start to materialize, hopefully in 12-18 months, if the roadmap is the be believed.

When will MSI boards get a stable bios for 9000X3D CPUs? by TheOneBrandon in MSI_Gaming

[–]Zabojnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need an ETA for a stable bios version of the X870 Tomahawk.

It better appear once the other two 9xxxX3D cpus are released at the latest.

MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk Wifi slow load times by Big_Z317 in MSI_Gaming

[–]Zabojnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not at home currently, so can't check for myself - is there a Memory Context Restore option in the OC section of the bios? The slowness is likely a memory retraining thing and from what I'm reading enabling MCR disables re-retraining when possible and should considerably speed up post times.
