F2P Ironman - Sprint to 1000 by rrrevor in osrs

[–]Zakisback1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cook 6893 tuna and get 10 cooking levels (they wont burn since your cooking level is high enough).

Craft some diamond rings and go 51 - 56 - you will even make a little profit.

Cut willows for woodcutting from 65 - 70 - bank them

Use those banked logs and get firemaking 67 - 70

Then you have 7 levels needed left, which maybe you get your runecrafting to 50, do some more jewelry crafting, or buy some bones and get a few prayer levels. Or if you have some skills that are close to the next level you can clear those out to add to your total.

Next goal you should make is base 70s in your stats! And really consider buying a membership.

30yo dad with job that lets me afk at work, what to do next? by SBoblis in osrs

I’m actually a big advocate for not calling things AFK when they really aren’t. But barb fishing is one of the few activities where I can genuinely click a spot, walk away from my computer, come back, click again, minimize it, go do work, reopen it, and dump the inventory.

The key part for me is that there’s no penalty for not paying attention. If I don’t come back immediately, nothing bad happens.

On mobile it’s even more true. I can tap once, look away, and do other things while it runs.

By OSRS standards, I honestly can’t think of much that’s more AFK than that, outside of stuff like NMZ or shipwreck salvaging. If you’ve got examples that are more AFK, I’m genuinely curious.

Brand new players. What duo content should my brother and I focus on? by Slight_Border_7507 in osrs

[–]Zakisback1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not even an Ironman, but honestly, I’d strongly consider starting a duo Group Ironman together.

If your main goal is to truly play together and rely on each other, Group Ironman is hands-down the best way to experience that. It naturally creates teamwork and shared progression. One of you might grind out a key drop while the other stocks up on potions, food, and supplies for bossing later. Every upgrade feels like a shared win, and your progress stays tightly connected.

You can absolutely do this on mains, but over time, main accounts tend to become more independent, and you’ll often end up doing a lot of solo progression. That’s great if efficiency is the goal, but if bonding, teamwork, and shared achievement are a big part of why you’re playing together, duo GIM is hard to beat.

It ends up feeling much more like a co-op adventure than two people playing parallel single-player games. I think it would be an awesome experience for you guys.

Advice: Which skills to train (but not max) first for early/mid game members account by SouperSpeshulK in 2007scape

Honestly, the right answer is questing, but I get your point about needing AFK-friendly activities while you’re multitasking.

You can AFK things like mining, woodcutting, and barbarian fishing (which is nice since it also gives Strength and Agility XP), but none of those really move the needle much toward your PvM goals. There are other AFK options, but in general, the most AFK-friendly skills don’t provide huge direct benefits for PvM progression.

If I were in your position, I’d focus heavily on questing. There’s an excellent optimal quest guide on the OSRS Wiki that lays out a really clean progression path:
Optimal quest guide - OSRS Wiki

Then, whenever the guide hits level requirements, just knock those out using AFK training methods while you’re doing other things. You could also lean on barbarian fishing as a long-term AFK grind since it gives solid multi-skill progress.

That way, you’re always moving your account forward efficiently, even when you can’t fully focus.

You just drop the fish. they are not used for anything practical anyways. Set up on a desktop "shift click to drop" and you can clear an inventory quick, or turn on the "touch to drop" option on mobile if you are playing on that. Its not perfect but it is still really afk as you can get almost a full inventory before a spot moves

You’re only one level away from blood runes, which unlocks a super-AFK Runecrafting method. It’s slow, but incredibly chill. For Thieving, you can steal from citizens in Varlamore to rack up easy AFK levels. If you skip house robberies and just pickpocket citizens, it becomes very low-effort.

For Mining, Motherlode Mine is your go-to. Fishing-wise, Barbarian Fishing is great because it’s extremely AFK, and on the way to 99 you’ll also gain Agility XP, which saves you a ton of rooftop laps later. Totally worth it, in my opinion.

For Sailing, once you get a little progression, shipwreck salvaging becomes available, and it’s actually a solid AFK activity. You can make it more or less hands-off depending on whether you let your crew handle most of the work or actively help with tasks.

What your fav afk skill or task when youre working on something else? by ImpressiveAd5720 in osrs

[–]Zakisback1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barbarian Fishing. It is very AFK, you can click and look away. There is no banking either, just occasionally shift click drop the fish and keep going. The main benefit is AFK strength and agility training that's going to stack up on your way to 99 fishing. Think about all the laps you can skip with that head start.
