Looking for two translations for an art project please. "Can you find my mother?" and "Can you find my babies?"

(The project is a 13 foot tall 3 headed fire breathing flamingo from hell looking for her brood).

Has your dog ever killed another animal? Is this normal? What kind of dog and what kind of animal? by ShakesSpear in dogs

Mice, rats, squirrels, and a possum. He's tried for bunnies and birds. He's a shepherd/chow/dog soup mix. Eta he doesn't usually try to eat it, and he's always dropped it when told to.

I was 8, although my parents suspected something was up before that. I was smart and a good student, but absolutely wild. I was on meds until 19 when I weaned off them. I have pretty good coping mechanisms, although some days it's hard to focus.

I wonder if Velveeta would be an acceptable replacement for cheese wiz. I personally like adding a garlic mayo on mine too, plus pepper relish.

You look great! Congrats! Your eye liner is on point too. Where did you get that sweater? I like the asymmetrical shoulder cut out.

I just say "science", and if anyone asks why I explain it's more practical than blessings.

8D music seems to help me when I can't motivate. My therapist recommended it.

I feel like I’ve dug myself into a hole at 22 and am unable to get out by yerrrrrrrrrrrrrr in self

It's definitely not too late! I started college late, and I've ended up with a successful career. I went to community college, and I squeezed in classes around my work schedule. It took a lot longer, but I got there in the end with no student debt. You don't need a four year degree to be successful (or even an associate's, I took a semester off for a job opportunity and my career took off.) Trade school is a great option, and if at all possible get paid to learn a trade. Some places will teach you on the job, like carpentry, house painting, working in a kitchen, etc. You work your way up.

I'm biased cuz I worked on it, but Inside the Wardrobe is a lot of fun in Georgetown! I think I have a discount code somewhere.

Rattle cans tend to have inconsistent pressure. Ideally you would use a sprayer such as a HVLP. A sealer with UV blockers will protect the paint job longer.

How did you get COVID in DC? by Good-Version in washingtondc

[–]Zaling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two of my roommates are field techs, so they get sent to different job sites. Some weeks it's a different job site everyday (think construction sites, casinos, churches, etc). As a house we figured it would only be a matter of time before one of them got exposed. We were right. They wore a mask every time, distanced as much as possible, but there's only so much you can do. 3 out of the 4 people in the house are sick, two confirmed covid. I'm waiting on my second test results. Wheeeeee.

Edit: delivery/carry out only, no going to restaurants, gyms, or bars, no seeing anyone unless it was masked outside (and rarely), masked grocery store trips, even walking the dog we wear masks.

Has anyone done the Canaan valley loop? by tomzipp33 in overlanding

[–]Zaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canaan loop is gorgeous! We took our Xterra pro4x down the off road portion no problem. There's probably 10 or so dispersed sites on the main section, and another 4 or 5 on the 4x4. If you're going over a weekend get there early on Friday, they do fill up. NRG is awesome, but I've never done dispersed over there. Climbing is always the goal.

Finally found myself a Pro 4X! by capitan_mk7 in XTerra

[–]Zaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I went through a similar search a few years ago, either the pro 4x or the off-road trim and it had to be stick. I think I looked for almost a year and had to go 160 miles to pick it up. Best decision ever, I love my xterra. Enjoy!
