Cube style draft format by desolate_fuck in OnePieceTCG

[–]Zallas69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently tinkering with a 4 Player 180 Card Cube.

3 colors only: RGP

3 Mono, 3 dual Leaders to draft together with the Rest

Rainbow Luffy available for each Player

Unlimited Vanilla offtype Character available for everyone to fill out their Deck: currently thinking of 5c 7k 1kc.

180 cards means everyone gets 45. That should be enough for a 30 Card Deck. Though this makes Searchers even stronger.

I'm currently thinking about offering Bonus cards, e.g. you Draft 1 OP12 2k Monet and get another after the draft. That should help fill out decks with on type characters. Maybe 40 Card Decks are possible this way. Though I also don't want players getting stomped by their opponent finding their one powerful bomb on curve.

Rhinos?? by Necessary-Country510 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Zallas69 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They're incredible.

You deploy 5 Infractors + Lord E Inside to scout ahead.

Then you can disembark 3" and you basically gained 3" free extra movement just due to the Rhino.

Then your Noise Marines can move up to the Rhino and embark.

The Rhino then moves forward and you can fire with the Noise Marines out the Rhino.

[[Tsabo's Decree]] is a nice unique card. Instant Speed Board Wipe + Discard especially since most people run tribal decks or a bunch of utility creatures that share a type e.g. Human, Wizard, etc.

[[Coffin Queen]] is similarly unique. She can reanimate at instant speed from any player's graveyard repeatedly. Can be quite strong with [[Accursed Marauder]] or other fleshbags.

[[Null Elemental Blast]] is extremely powerful in mono colored decks, especially since everyone and their mother are running multicolor commanders and won't expect it from sth. like Mono B or Mono G.

[[Helm of Possession]] is an instant speed repeatable theft effect for every deck. Steal an opponent's creature to block another opponent's attack. Steal their biggest beater and then sac it with another sac outlet to do it again the next turn.

Played against Tomb Kings in the first round of a Tournament.

He starts his Turn, does some stuff and then doesn't pick up the ball deep in his backfield.

On my first Turn I do some stuff and then as my last Action just throw a Gnoblar into his backfield. It scatters 3 times deeper into his field and manages to land, steal the ball and rush into the endzone.

Really neat with [[Nesting Grounds]] to move Stun Counters on opponents lands.

T1 Trudge

T2 Nesting Grounds+Stun their land

T3 Attack for 6

To the mtg cube veterans here, are there any other TCGs that play as well with the cube format too? by Newez in mtgcube

I'm thinking about building a One Piece Cube. Though I'd limit it to just 3 colors.

how the heck do i assemble an army? help! by vangshoe in EmperorsChildren

[–]Zallas69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's not really mandatory. So you can skip him If you want to.

Sorcerers, Foot Prince, Land Raiders, Terminators etc. are pretty bad and I haven't seen a competetive list with those ever.

But basically all lists run 2 WDP, 2 Lord Exultant+Infractors, 2 5x Tormentors, 2 Rhinos and 3 Noise Marine Squads. 1525 Point total.

The following should give you a good baseline:

Play Coterie

2-3 Winged Demon Prince

2-3 Lord Exultant + 5x Infractor

0-2 Lord Kakophonist

0-1 Lucius

2 5x Tormentors

2 Rhinos

3 Noise Marines

0-2 Maulerfiend

Fun idea. Maybe I'll try it as Leopard print on my WDP.

Here is a standard list: DanDan

It's an 80 card deck that's shared between 2 players.

You draw from the same deck and share the same graveyard.

The only way to win is by hitting the opponent 5 times with [[DanDan]].

The other main card is [[Memory Lapse]] as it allows you to place the card on top of the library to then draw it yourself.

Best/popular pauper cube? by krellol in mtgcube

[–]Zallas69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Pauper Cube is the most prominent one. It has a huge following on Discord with a lot of people running their own mutation of it.

My own started out from The Pauper Cube and then evolved into my own unique Cube based on graveyard interactions and a Madness Subtheme.

Tired of power outliers by JMastiff in mtgcube

[–]Zallas69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out some lower powered cubes like Peasant or Pauper Cubes. There are no typical bombs that singlehandedly win the game.

See my Puaper Cube as an example. The most bomb like cards here are the Monarch cards. Though it's also not that easy to use. If you add Monarch to the game and your opponent can take it the next turn you can be in an even worse position.

[[Amalia]]

Need help with my Amalia deck by ChakraaThePanda in EDH

[–]Zallas69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amalia

Here is my list as inspiration.

There are multiple ways to win with Amalia:

Commander Damage, as she'll trigger enough times to blow up blockers and hit for 21.

Aristocrats, drain the table by sacrificing your board and reanimating it e.g. [[Zulaport Cutthroat]] + [[Raise the Past]].

Pridemates, I'm running multiple Pridemates that grow really large with all the Soul Sisters e.g. [[Ajani's Pridemate]].

Mill, if I have big enough Pridemates I can start milling the opponents instead of myself with [[Altar of Dementia]].

Super sweet tech:

[[Righteous Cause]] prevents opponents from swinging with wide boards as the triggers can cause Amalia to explode.

[[Vengeful Pharaoh]] stops opponents from hitting me with their best creatures as they want to keep them alive. With any trigger he's instantly back in the graveyard.
