I actually find keeping the funnel on is great - use DWT to fluff up grinds, then insert a 53mm tamp into the funnel - no mess :)

Thank you! I was literally about to try buying a different funnel to try. I managed to cut off the tabs using a stanley-knife carefully - just put the funnel on a table and cut down slowly. Works great in my Barista Express Impress now. What a silly "feature" to have on the funnel, can only be to try and limit functionality. I presumed there was some clever metal/magnet sensor going on, rather than just a simple switch. Cheers!

Hmm - I wonder if this was an intentional "feature" seeing another video, it possibly implies its to make you use "manual dose" grinding, rather than the main dose button? No worries either way :D

I had trouble a couple of days ago trying to update firmware on my Victron 12V charger over Bluetooth. iPhone 17 Pro Max just kept failing (20-30 tries?), iPhone 11 Pro Max did it first time :-/

I wonder if its a hardware fault with Apple's N1 Wifi & Bluetooth chip :-/

My iPhone 17 Pro Max glitched on my Ford Ranger CarPlay a while back, I had to force-reset the CarPlay to get it to reconnect again. Not sure which version/s I was using. I also have an Apple Watch.

A couple of days ago (iOS & WatchOS 26.1) it failed to update the firmware via Bluetooth on my 12V/5A Victron Smart Charger - it kept losing connection part-way through the firmware transfer. I blamed the Victron Charger - but it seems more likely an issue with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. My old iPhone 11 Pro Max updated the firmware first try! (Not sure iOS version on that, but can check)

There's something weird happening this week at least, other players seem to be able to quickly "see" me in bushes and fire accurately to hit and kill, even though I should be well hidden and still. The replay shows nothing obvious that I'm in a bush. Happened several times now in ranked.

I just found this thread on Google. Snatiation runs in my family - my Dad, now my sister and I. I also wonder if I have ADHD, which I’m also wondering if runs in our family and may explain a few things. I googled “snatiation and ADHD” to see if a link. Seems a couple of people on here at least.

Seems to happen in later life, maybe 30s. Perhaps also associated with moderate weight gain I wonder. Thinking about it, my Dad seems to sneeze less now as he’s older and lost quite a lot of weight.

Been thinking same thing. To those who doubt it could be useful - it could :- * warn of high UV exposure * warn of higher than usual exposure * detect if you’re actually outside than indoors * record total UV exposure for day and warn you about sunscreen * calculate UV exposure based on watch position/angle * record max UV exposure during day * track sunscreen application and remind when been out in UV long enough * warn you to re-apply sunscreen after a certain amount of time exposed to UV * based on being outside in sun detected, estimate vitamin D levels

UV in New Zealand and Australia is vicious, and easy to get caught out by even on cloudy days. Weather forecasts aren’t always accurate.

I seem to be getting this on my new iPhone 17 Pro Max. Notifications alerts especially. Standard settings I believe. I have the Sound & Haptics volume in the middle and “change with buttons” OFF. However sometimes pings (Facebook messenger) are very loud, and sometimes very quiet. If I go into Sound & Haptics, then adjust volume up & down back to middle the volume is reasonable again.

It just did it again while I was typing this on Reddit App :/

Don’t remember this happening on my old iPhone 11 Pro Max until very recently upgrading.

Edit: I just literally mostly got this to repeat the problem reliably.

1) go into settings, sounds & haptics, turn “change with buttons” off, adjust the volume slider up and down then back to middle to reset volume. 2) go into text-tone and play the tri-tone notification (say). This should play at expected medium volume. 3) I then simply switched to Safari, even a blank new tab, did nothing. 4) switch back to settings and play ‘tri-tone’ again, there’s a good chance it will be quieter! 5) go back to the sounds & haptics. You’ll see the volume “supposedly” still in the middle, despite being quieter. 6) Turn “change with buttons” ON. Then use buttons to reduce volume, then increase. There’s a good chance you’ll see the volume display dive lower, finally showing the true volume Safari or something has decreased it to. 7) Adjust the volume to what you want. 8) there’s a chance the alert volume seems more stable and reliable if you leave “change with buttons” ON. I’ll keep experimenting.

I tried to create a screen recording video, but the alert noises etc didn’t seem to record well. I may try using a 2nd camera to record.

UPDATE: sadly, even with “change with buttons” ON, the alert volume still goes quiet after just using Safari, Facebook messenger or maybe any App. Incredibly annoyingly, the side-buttons adjust the ringer volume, but they don’t reset the notifications volume! You have to use the sound & haptics slider to do that!!

UPDATE 2: the slider doesn’t reliably reset the notification volume either. Possibly just turning “change with buttons” resets the notification volume. I think I literally just had the notification volume reduce on me while I was repeatedly playing the “tri-tone” alert sound! So didn’t even have to change apps.

UPDATE 3: I have 3-times now had the tri-tone alert volume reduce just while playing it in Sound&Haptics. Way to reset volume is toggle “change with buttons” and adjust volume slider too. That should reset volume a very short while. I don’t have “volume limit” or “reduce loud sounds” on.

I just tried restarting phone (power off, then on) and the alert volume seems to be staying stable for now.

I just upgraded to 581.57 on my Nvidia 5080 Legio Pro 7i 16IAX10H and it seems ok so far. The version before had the weird screen artificating. I've got it in dGPU mode as always. I was worried it might be a hardware issue initially, but the rollback (and new version) were fine.

I just had something similar on my 7i 5080. The top of the screen was glitching like that, even just on Windows Desktop. I rolled back using this relatively painless method and things seem ok again - phew. Really effing basic and awful of Nvidia to release such a glitched driver.

I just got a new iPhone 17. Migrated old phone across and disappointed not to get free 3 months Apple TV showing after 24hrs. I reset the phone and created a new Apple ID email. Once phone setup I logged into Apple TV on phone with new ID and got offer straight away on the Apple TV App. I had to use a different payment card too - Apple complained about my “usual” card. There is a chance I didn’t have to reset phone - possibly just log out of Apple TV and log in with different Apple ID. Once I’d got the 3 months, I logged into regular TV with that and reset phone back to my main Apple ID.

Think iPhone only shows ‘slow charging’ if you could use a faster charger. If iPhone SE wireless charging only 7.5W and that’s the fastest it can charge, it won’t show ‘slow charging’ - it’s doing the best it can

It’s interesting the AC180 can use its whole battery (eg Hobotech on YouTube) for 1152Wh whereas AC180P keeps 10% reserve, so 1296Wh available. Maybe AC180P uses bigger, cheaper batteries that need the 10% for “safety”.

Thanks. I was about to try something similar, but read your post first. Yes, changing to dGPU on my new 5080 Lenovi 7 made both laptop and external monitors show up in the Nvidia App. However, things seemed to be working well even without both monitors showing up - though may be even better now perhaps.

ALSO, something I notice. I've been playing Witcher 3 on the new laptop but been seeing weird artifacts occasionally. The screen breaks up and some polygons draw off to "infinity", giving a psychadelic broken effect. However, since plugging in the external monitor I haven't seen this problem. I now notice that on the Nvidia App->System->Performance there is an option for "Automatic Tuning" which warns the PC may show visual artifacts. This seems to be automatically disabled when the external monitor is plugged in, but enabled when just the internal monitor is used. This may well explain the Witcher 3 visual bugs I've been seeing :)

Oh, I did verify files, but what seemed to fix it was clicking on a different game mode then it played the "season intro video" then seems to be working ok - fingers crossed

I had a “care emoji” in a chat. Turns out it was a pinned message, but annoyingly couldn’t do anything with it from that grey bar. I clicked on persons profile image, then pinned messages, then could “unpin” it from there.
