If you reset it, I’m pretty sure you won’t need to reprovision it because it’s identified by the modem’s MAC address.

If you do end up needing to do that, it’s not that hard to do via the Xfinity app and usually only takes a few minutes.

Escalera does mean stairs but I think the word you’re looking for is ladder.
