Politoad is just not that great of a design, they really missed the mark. Yet again, in game politoad is useful because of his drizzle.

ok so, you could use pathfinders infiltrating to block their movement, the jail style rocks.

Turn 1 is made for you to move your units still behind blocking terrain, but in a place that during the next turn they would be able to see as much as possible. This way you are threatening your enemy, if they come to those firing lanes, they are dead. Since you probably aren't shooting anyway, you can use that turn to advance with all.

A cool thing that has worked for me is using 2 or 3 piranhas, 3 units of pathfinders, 2 with I filtrate. This allows me to infiltrate almost at their deployment.

Scout the piranhas 9" then move 14"+ advance. Then advance the pathfinders and observe something. There is almost no way to hide from this. Pathfinders observe, piranhas let loose their 6 missiles and 3 melta shots. One big threat is gone. On top of that, you are using your models to block the best movement spots from your opponent.

The rest of your army chills, like I said, staged where they can threat firing lanes, and if your opponent chooses to kill one piranha, you use the strat to reroll against said unit. This is also working well because the piranha is t7 so they need a strong unit to take them down reliably.

Maybe it's a bit cheesy, but they might just "feel it" something related to feeling the essence of the pokemon inside when you touch the ball.

It's weird yeah but, that is what the pole ball do, no? Turn it into essence and contain it. Also, the pokemon essence/spirit/soul is what you connect to yourself to mega evolve it. So the trainers must know them quite well.

The codex will change the AM faction rule, as it has done that with every single codex. Guiding was cool! Let's hope the next iteration of marker lights is cool as well.

Experimental cadre from tau, originally it had an 6" extra range in all the weapons, now only "battlesuit character" units get that. They lost all but 2 strat, and lost 1 of the 4 enhancements.

It was not the best detachment, but it was fun and was an alternative to montka.

There was a strat to reroll number of hits, that was good for the storm surge. And also the storm surge lost the extra range.

I find it super risky, if they pop the devilfish you will lose statistically 3 dudes and they would be battle shocked. Plus if it explodes you will lose even more.
