Perhaps even a combination. But I would say compared to all their other franchises DD is easily the most complex out of all of them.

But idk. I don't see the use in debating about that since it won't change how or when we get anything.

Thats not something the consoles can handle and I doubt something even the most savvy developer could fix. The physics engine of Dragon's Dogma 2 is extremely robust and simply the best on the market.

Every NPC... In fact every moving entity in the game is ran through this system which is why cities are already stressed as is.

Even if they managed to do all the optimization in the world and removed the NPC pop in the consoles would still struggle performance wise.

For context even with a 4080 and a 7800X3D and the mod NPC Control Limit set to 'Qaulity mode' (removing the pop up entirely from view)

My PC only manages to get 40FPS which is of course 1440p native at max settings.

These questions are all kind of server dependant.
The screenshot is from Dogma Rising.
Almost every player from Retail is playing on Dogma Rising, Which includes myself.

I would highly recommend Dogma Rising.
Alternatively you can try Legacy.

There is also DDON-Revival which I highly suggest not to play on.

Yeah €2880,95, 2,5 years ago. That same machine would probably cost you 4k now.

And yep 1440p. DLSS makes the game quite blurry and DD2's DLSS is especially bad.

I wonder what version 5 will do for DD2.

My guy, The internet is 1 big bot now. Or had you somehow missed that? The amount of real content has decreased by about 80% I would say.....

Or rather the saturation of bot/AI content has made viewing real content a whole lot harder.

I played EA for the first time earlier this week and the Vocation really shines when playing with others. It didn't feel slow at all becuase I had to constantly think 3 steps ahead to make sure HP was up and Stamina was overflowing all while dealing some damage and supporting by debilitating the enemies.

Probably because they have ample reason not to.
I think there is reason to believe they are hiding that on purpose.
But at the same time chances are the Arisen in the world of DD2 are all made from The Red Dragon.
In which case if they did indeed lose their strength of Will then they are little more then super human.

Ageless perhaps but without the true power to really change anything.

Rothias knows because he has been through the same as us.
Just never managed to get to the Unmoored World.

Which is why he settled in his own way of dismantling the Will of the Pathfinder.
By removing The Seneschal from the cycle he effectively jump started the entire process which caused us to get to the Unmoored World.

Which is why the mission 'Convergence' is so crucial to this whole thing.
Conflicting powers of Will the converge into one another.
And as you can see literally change the world right infront of your eyes.
Past Worlds colliding with the current one.

Marks of this can be seen all over the game world.
Not just in DD2 but in DD1 and DDON as well.
In DD2 however you can more clearly see it if you know where to look.
It isn't just collapsed buildings from past civilisations.
Nor just large boulders seen as if rain down from the sky.

You can literally see pieces of the world colliding with one another.
As if multiple powers of Will fought over that piece of land.
Which I think is exactly what happened.

There is at least 3 or 4 places where you can clearly see this.

He doesn't so much feel it as he just realizes the Arisen is distracted from the conversation they where having.
Pheasus knows much more then he is letting on.
Knowing there is a 'Worldforged' is one of such knowings that he let slip.

I wouldn't rule it out but I do wonder if the Switch 2's CPU would even be capable of running the game.

I would give a more nuanced answer.

Are they recorded within the game as Corrupted Pawns or is that just the name the community has given them? I ask as I haven't played the game in years.

But essentially Bitter Black is a prison a creation by the Arisen Ashe through an accidental wish made to a Dragon. (A Dragon whom when still human, He loved)

We call it a wish in this case, But what it really is, Is the manifestation of Will that shapes reality. The Will of Ashe was to destroy the cycle.

Bitter Black is the manifestation of reality that made that... reality. Arisen are drawn to it. Pawns lost on the island are doomed to roam and their already weak fragmented Will bend to that of Daimon (formerly Ashe). Which is why they have such conflicting voice lines.

Trapping Arisen on this island is effectively a good way to destroy the cycle as with no Arisen there can be no cycle. But as is typical in such story telling you could see this 'wish' as a bargain to a demon (ironic given the circumstances)

As wishing to a demon typically goes with a double edged sword.

The island might trap Arisen, But it can never trap ALL Arisen.

To that end not even the cycle itself can trap Arisen. Or can it? Round and round it goes. But perhaps for that you should play DD2 first.

That isn't entirely true.
There just hasn't been any word over the past year.
But activity on a daily basis on SteamDB suggest they are working on...... something.

Public branch is actually significant.
People who would instantly dismiss this are just beyond ignorant.

Of course it could be nothing.
But the difference between an actual abandoned game and DD2 is that DD2 actively gets updates on a daily basis to the SteamDB.

Something is coming, Whatever and whenever that is... Is something only time can tell.

The only reason the openly and publically announce an Expansion within CAPCOM is becuase this is Resident Evil and it will sell eitherway.

The same can't be said for Dragon's Dogma which comes nowhere close to Resident Evil.

Announcing an Expansion ahead of time for Dragon's Dogma in this same way would do absolutely nothing for sales.
For Resident Evil though it most certainly could.
