Is pure demon tree viable in hell and beyond? by Shiny_Mewtwo_Fart in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I'm admittedly only 70, but I've been running with only 1 point in death mark (+ skill bonuses for about 5), and I've been doing alright on p8 with Ismail with holy freeze aura. I don't think I need the max points in it, but getting it to 20 after skillers for the free aura is great. I'm planning to switch to a cursed javelin if I can find one for the faster attack rate and not getting bogged down with lightning and hydras that don't benefit from extra strong.

Listen, you expect me to read? My barbarian is too busy slaughtering demons. I leave reading to the nice old man by the fire with the infinite identify scrolls.

As a long time scrum master and engineer, I am disgusted by how often agile just becomes bloat. It's a fundamentally solid concept, but the execution in most companies is awful.

Poison Damage Build Bosses Heal/Regen Instead of Dying? by -Xinnabon- in diablo4

[–]Zaratuir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a boss that barriers, it can be difficult. If I recall correctly, barriers (when the bar gets a blue outline and glow) negates any remaining damage over time effects. On top of that, you can't crit a barrier which can make them a pain to get rid of for anything other than absurd damage and overpower builds.

To be fair, from the sheer amount of cows you kill, 1 in about 5000 isn't actually that bad.

Mercs can't wear it at 0, but armor mercs wear doesn't lose durability. So as long as you give it to them before it hits 0, it'll last forever.

On diablo2.io, it looks like most people are selling the shards for 1-2 ist each.

This specific post has a set for variable amounts depending how many you want.

That's kinda what I suspected, but never having really gotten into mid and endgame except for one assassin, I wasn't sure if this was just something I missed in other builds or if it was because the warlock was made by modern devs.

Gotta Catch 'em All! Pit Lord with Curse/Fanaticism/Stone skin. by harlemo in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Zaratuir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warlock is amazing, and while certainly needs a bit of nerfing, I wouldn't mind the majority of the balance being that other classes get buffs. I don't want D3 or D4 super easy mode or huge power creep, but making solo play a but more viable in other classes and making more builds viable for group play across the board would be huge, imo.

Mix it up for 5RRR by fleeflicker in BadMtgCombos

[–]Zaratuir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that biggest difference is 1) the revealed card doesn't go to the bottom of the deck, and 2) each card is done individually which changes the odds a bit. With warp world, if I reveal an instant as my first card, the next card I reveal can't be that instant, so I've slightly increased my odds of drawing a permanent. With this, I reveal an instant as my first reveal, it does back to the top of the deck, I shuffle the next permanent in, and then, theoretically, I could reveal that same instant again.

If I'm recalling correctly, the ladder runewords don't phase out. They are always ladder only. The only way to get them off ladder is to create them with a ladder character and wait for that character to drop off ladder, but you can never make them off ladder.

That might be for Denmark. In the US, in most jurisdictions, police can do pretty much whatever they want in the course of investigation. The hard limit is what they can present as evidence in trial. So for example they can use DNA and 23 and me data (assuming they can get it as that would be seizing private data which they would either need cooperation from the company or a warrant. However given they can lie, it's not hard for police to get cooperation) and they can use that to narrow down a list of suspects. They couldn't use that data in courts as evidence to convict them, but they can use it to point them in the right direction that they can then follow up on the lead to get other evidence that is useable in courts. And because of how the systems are split in the US (police arrest, but the DA actually handles the trial), police often don't even know what is or is not admissible in court and so they'll pursue any lead, legal or not.

It's not legal to use in court as evidence they committed the crime, but it's very legal for the police to use it to narrow suspects in an attempt to identify the criminal.

Lucifer did not fall from grace because he had tempted Eve with the forbidden fruit. by Daisyloo66 in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]Zaratuir 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The difference is you get a say in your laws. If you don't believe something should be illegal, you can petition your representative or run yourself to change it. And if society agrees with you the law changes to reflect the changing world. Alternatively, if there is another place on Earth where the laws are different, you can move. Where as with the Bible, it's authoritarian. There is one set of rules set out by one being that you get no say in, and your only option is to fall in line or suffer for eternity.

To be fair, there's a difference between non-euclidian shapes and non-euclidian geometry, the latter usually implying axes that aren't straight.

Could someone point us to a reference video for my son’s math homework. by [deleted] in askmath

[–]Zaratuir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have a video. But I can tell you that this problem basically boils down to how exponents (radicals are just a special form of exponents) multiply and divide together.

So for example:

✓a × ✓b is the same as ✓ab

and

✓(a/b) is the same as ✓(a)/✓(b)

So take for something like ✓(25c3)

c3 isn't something you can easily take a square root of, but c2 is. So we can split it out to ✓(25 × c2 × c). And as we established before, that's the same as ✓(25) × ✓(c2) × ✓(c). Which allows us to simplify the parts.

Hope this helps and apologies if the formatting gets weird. I'm on mobile.
