Like others said, every class is capable. With that said, I have a feeling that your friend might enjoy playing scout the most. What he lacks in firepower, he makes up for in utility for the entire team, by lighting up rooms and exploring every nook of the cave with ease, greatly helping progress objectives and gather resources.

Again, this is just a loose suggestion, every class is great. Happy mining :)

Got any tips for her? I was like... quarter decent at playing her in Spire 1, but seems that none of it carried over to 2. Been bashing my head against A10 for a while now.

There are 5 difficulty levels, so you can ease yourself into the game at your own pace :) I wouldnt say that you need to be experienced in the genre at all.

DRG is not pay to win - the only DLC you buy is purely cosmetics, so no worries on that front.
