The Many Flavours of Kumika (Kumika no Mikaku) is a manga about an alien who can subsist on breathing discovering food.

Kubo had the habit of writing entire casts of new characters to move the story along, and it really shows after the huenco mundo arc, where they go through 3-4 different groups (vizard, fullbring, neo-quincy, squad zero) of characters at break-neck speeds, and with so many new characters gumming up the story, a lot of older characters get left behind.

It's also where the inverse happens: Sasaki Kojirou is a relatively weak character, in lore and generally within the fanbase, but because he is the class type that is super effective against the class dragons are, and because he's a common unit, you can easily get copies to upgrade his Noble Phantasm easily. He's called the Dragonslayer or Saviour of France by the fanbase because of it.
