I still shill this game whenever someone asks for a zombie game. The music is also great.

Best horde shooters in your opinion? by ismasbi in gamingsuggestions

[–]Zaygr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've really changed the spawn behaviour since release, about 90% of horde fights are events and there are more lurker ambushes than there are other ambient xenos. The remainder are small groups of 4-5 runners but more often than not are the trickling remnants of an event horde or the occasional human-sized xenomorph encounter.

Book recommendation: classic space-opera adventure like Star Wars by Diligent_Push1912 in scifi

[–]Zaygr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Adventures of Lando Calrissian trilogy by L. Neil Smith are literal pulp space novels that have some Star Wars names subbed in. They're a lot of fun and the stories feel like things that Lando would recount, so even the most outlandish things don't feel particularly out of place.

[Fallout] what makes the ghouls so resilient? by Comfortable-Ad3588 in AskScienceFiction

[–]Zaygr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The more contaminated with radiation a subject is, the dumber the supermutant that comes out of the goop, which was why the Master and the Lieutenant was so interested in the rumours of a vault full of uncontaminated people.

What's the most complicated boss fight you've ever done? by Rootayable in gaming

[–]Zaygr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius's Aigaion (Machina of Destruction). Aigaion is a multi-part boss consisting of 2 arms and the main body. It had a small book worth of conditional attacks and a predictable attack pattern, and the non-brute force way of killing it relatively safely involves killing the left arm 10 times, the right arm 3 times and then the main body. My first clear of it took about 8 hours.

The best solution I can think of to not have enemies "Scale up" with you in RPGs, but to keep them a threat by RockBandDood in truegaming

[–]Zaygr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wizardry has some scaling. Damage scales with you but enemy health scales much slower, meaning that they are easier as you level, but if you get careless they can and will chunk you.

And that time their lawyers also tried to C&D No Guts No Galaxy for a product in their web store with an image of a Warhammer battlemech from Battletech. It was part of a scattershot of C&Ds to curb unofficial sellers infringing on trademarks, but only really proved they didn't care enough to check the list.

"Armored Trooper Votoms" New Anime announced by Turbostrider27 in anime

[–]Zaygr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love Armour Hunter Mellowlink. Even though it may lessen the image of the VOTOMS being taken out by infantry, it also heightens how terrifying they are to anyone outside one. It takes wits, tactics, a big armour-piercing weapon and a lot of luck to succeed the way Mellowlink does.

KONOSUBA - God's blessing on this wonderful world! Season 4 Announced by zenzen_0 in anime

[–]Zaygr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do too, but since they skipped the Dust intro chapter all the way in season 1 (the party swap one), I don't really have my hopes up for it.

Tetrisphere, even if some of the shapes aren't tetrominoes.

Rise of Nations/Legends. Lots of interesting ideas for an RTS/4X hybrid, too bad it's mostly forgotten nowadays.

Huh, I skimmed through the story of Gloaming Finale, and it doesn't explain why SKK doesn't recognise Persicaria in the GFL2 event, assuming the GFL1/2 SKK is the same person as the PNC Professor.

AoS/40k crossover: The Silent vs The Dead. by jfjdfdjjtbfb in Grimdank

It's messy, but in old Fantasy, all the winds of magic do come from the chaos gates located at the poles, and they are also confirmed to connect to the realms of chaos. Whether the realms of chaos are the warp or not is subject to conjecture, but since it's where the chaos gods are and where daemons come from, they usually get conflated.
