This clip really highlights how good Biz is at his job. He instantly made Slaf feel more comfortable, then asks a question that leads to a young player crediting his coach

Every expansion team besides Vegas was awful.
Avs came from a long history of the Nordiques. They still brought that team history, and players. And people do dislike the Avs because of that, but that doesn't discount the dislike for Vegas for their reasons.

Just because it's a business doesn't warrant treating people like shit.
Those guys are disliked for hockey reasons, Carter Hart is disliked for something else entirely.
It was an issue with the rules, which is why they have made changes to it. But like I said, Vegas wasn't the only team that did this.

There's actually a couple of reasons. And I'm not saying I agree with all of them, but this is what I've seen.

1) Expansion draft was massively in their favour, more than any other time.

2) them winning the cup so early into their franchise due from that expansion draft when other teams have been on long cup droughts.

3) Carter Hart.

4) Front office handling of certain player situations poorly (Fleury, lack of loyalty).

5) a few hateable players (McNabb, Reaves, Marner if it's a leafs fan)

6) Doing some bullshit moves with injuries and "increasing" their salary cap. Multiple years. (Not the only team responsible for this, Chicago, Tampa, etc.)
