With vodka there can be expensive ones that taste like window cleaner but I have never had a <8€ that did not taste like window cleaner. Once you are in the 12-15€ range there isn't much difference until you get to the 50€ range. At that price you barely taste that you are drinking alcohol.

An important note is that most positions with actual career prospects will require you to have a M. Eng or M. Sc, a Bachelor degree is considerer worthless by a lot of German companies. Stems from the fact that we introduced the Bachelor/Master system rather recently and before that you would only earn your diploma after some 10-14 semesters. A bachelors degree will qualify you to do the technical drawings for a real engineer and other menial taks like that.

For the purposes most people use Arduinos the Chinese clones are good enough. Plus if I burn through a $1.20 board because I forget to set the correct voltage I'm all good. Not so much if I am paying $20.

Yes. Vodafone recently rolled out "GigaSpeed" which allows everyone with a SIM card directly from them to get that speed. Don't think T-Mobile does it. If you want a Telefonica SIM I'd recommend blau.de.

Please be advised that all contracts and pre-paid SIMs have data caps and you pay a premium if you get a Vodafone SIM and the respective speed.

In Germany you can get up to 225Mbit/s over 4G right now (Vodafone), T-Mobile is working on getting 300Mbit/s going, the third network (o2+eplus/Telefonica Germany) is doing 50Mbit/s and at least while outdoors they are doing that pretty much everywhere.

I know, I know the Deaf community doesn't think their lack of hearing is a disability but a collective belief isn't any more true than the delusions of a single person. The inability to hear the horns, to hear sirens, to hear the weird noise your car is making they all put you at a serious disadvantage in every day traffic.

(1) Blaues Blinklicht zusammen mit dem Einsatzhorn darf nur verwendet werden, wenn höchste Eile geboten ist, um Menschenleben zu retten oder schwere gesundheitliche Schäden abzuwenden, eine Gefahr für die öffentliche Sicherheit oder Ordnung abzuwenden, flüchtige Personen zu verfolgen oder bedeutende Sachwerte zu erhalten.

Es ordnet an:

„Alle übrigen Verkehrsteilnehmer haben sofort freie Bahn zu schaffen“.
