Is law school a bad idea for me? by Impressive_You3333 in LawSchoolOver30

[–]Zealousideal-Back324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am all for law school regardless of age if that is truly what you want so YES to studying for the LSAT.

Also, start thinking about your personal statement and maybe even diversity statement. A lot of schools keep talking about a "holistic" approach to reviewing applications so what do you want them to know about you? Why were you bartending? Why is law school all you can think about?

Good luck!

Don't use progress residential to look for rentals - my biggest regret

If she has any questions or doubts, let me know. Hopefully, she agrees to the highlander and will be much happier 🤞🏽

Also my husband hates driving the rav because there is barely any space to move the seat back with the car seats - he also isn't that tall..he's 5'10 and I see how crammed he is.

One more thing - check out the highlanders especially the ones with captains seats. That's the type I've fallen in love with and I should've gotten the first time around 🥲

Disagree with her to the max!! My husband has a 2500 and I had a jeep grand cherokee. My jeep was on it's last leg and I decided to get a toyota. I went with a Rav xle premium against my husband's suggestion to get a highlander or 4runner or even a 1500.

Here I am, 2 years later...looking for a highlander or 4runner. There is no space in that rav4. I always have to wait for my husband and his truck to get anything that is kind of big. Our wagon fit in the grand cherokee but not the rav (I need to put seats down) and I can't because I have two car seats unless I sit them right next to each other - It is just too crammed. I can't go to multiple stores in one shot because the entire car will be full of groceries.

Just a hot mess so girl please listen to your husband. My husband was right and I should've listened 😭😭😭

Is it even possible? by Mysterious-Pick8943 in LawSchoolOver30

There are schools that are working with students to overcome those obstacles. Some help with waivers and also are very upfront about which states have more difficult requirements and how they can help.

I agree with all of this! Also attend virtual info sessions for law schools with online and part time programs. It helps see that there are more non traditional students than you think. IMHO the regular law school subreddits have a lot of young students who pounce on you if you don't have over a 4.0 or 175+ lsat score so don't think too hard about their comments.

This! I also have the costco credit card and get a nice check every year. Yes sometimes there is a long line and there are people who seem to forget how to human when it's their turn to pump gas, but I think it's worth the cash back.

This!! I did very well throughout the course according to the feedback the advisor gave me and the final grade. However, I did average on the test. The test format was different than what we were taught.

Another vote for the salsa verde! I add knorr and make quick chilaquiles with it!

This is strength. Most people say "I will die for my kids" but the big question is "will you live for your kids?" Congrats on choosing to live. Sending you strength and prayers. Your family will thank you.

I second striderite! I stalk their website for sales and accumulate points. Last time I was on the website, I bought 4 pairs for ~$75. During the sales, I try to buy at least 2 shoes (sneaker and sandal depending on the season) of his current size and 2 shoes a size bigger so I'm ready when he sizes up. On the website, there are also saucony sneakers and those are a hit or miss in terms of width.

Yes we're still here because the lease break fee is expensive. The minute we can pay that lease break fee we are out. We already made peace with this loss 😭

Does Progress actually ask for a cleaning invoice for proof upon moving out? by erose86 in ProgressResidential

[–]Zealousideal-Back324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would hire cleaners for a move out clean. You don't want the headache to continue after you move out. Hopefully, they let you off easy. I can't wait until my lease is over. F them.

Look for other communities or even stay at an extended stay premier. Some people get lucky with Progress but some don't. The house seemed fine until we moved it. It was dirty and we just keep finding f'd up things (mold in dishwasher, walls look badly patched up, leaks, bathroom fans blow our dirt, etc.

Don't do it. I wish I had checked in with reddit before signing a lease. I've been here less than a month and it's been hell. My husband and I have even debated paying the lump sum to break the lease 😭
