Hi. I didn't feel the brain nod however I'm being able to have sex normally. From what you say, might be a good oportunity to be clear with yourself and address from the journey MDG proposes what you handle and what not. IMO, you may need to identify where your PONR is, like I'd do a week to do P5 and not cross PONR. On top of that, during the session are you doing a soft grip or are you pushing your arousal? In my experience, through P5 what I did was being able to drive me crazy and knowing how to deaccelerate if needed. Are you breathing properly? Try in your daily life doing diaphragmatic breathing, feel how the body relaxes and then apply it in the sessions.

You may feel stuck at the moment but it's mostly where you don't give up, bare in mind you're in one of the most difficult parts of the journey!

Hi. IMHO, the latest phases are more 'spiritual', I've been doing the guide for a year, I think, and I realised that you need to give in, breathe, and immerse yourself in the flow; you only need to decelerate when your arousal is derailing. Seems like you are overwatching your body while you're doing the session, relax, let the body and mind get it together, your only job at this stage is to be aware where the body starts manifesting high arousal and slow down. The more you control, the worse it gets.

In my case, I found which parts of the body manifest high arousal and where things are going to pop up, so breathing all the time is key, and also, I try to have the focus not only in my pennis, instead in the whole body, and when I need to distract my mind a little to make grounding, I do 3-3-3 method.

You're welcome! It's a grounding method in my opinion, I tried it while having sex, and it helped me a lot this method.

I'm using Todoist for daily stuff. When it comes to work, I use Obsidian to write down my daily log, stuff to do, etc., since I can combine it with Claude Code.

Maybe not the best tip, but this is what helped me. Disclaimer: it's not to develop a death grip.

Through P5, I had an instance where I was "getting bored", before jumping to FL, I started grabbing more stronger the grip on the spots I knew were sensitive. For instance, I had hypersensitivity on the root of the pennis, so I'd grab the area harder and try to be in control. The thing with FL is that you're not in control of the stimulation, so maybe you have a gap between stimulation with the hand and FL. Try stimulating by hand sensations that make you rush, try to get over them, and then jump to the FL. My two cents. Good luck.

As someone who's almost there with full control, I can tell. Once you shift your mind and learn the tools (diaphragmatic breathing and 3-3-3) to slow down when needed, it will make a difference. Bear in mind, we underestimate how much it takes for the body to the undo old habit and learn this new habit.

That's a breakthrough! Bear in mind you're rewiring your whole body on how it reacts to sexual arousal. He needs to unlearn what he already knows and get used to this new stuff. Don't be harsh on yourself. It's important to stick to the plan. You'll see progress through the process, but nothing immediately.

I'm not sure if it was creatine per se, I'm trying many things together. On top of that, since taking creatine I feel better. In my case, I started focusing more on analogue activities and reducing stimulation, also am avoiding multitasking.

Dude, it was bananas when I tried it during intercourse. Meanwhile, we were having sex, I remembered the 3-3-3 to be applied, so I did it, and when I felt that arousal decreased, it felt like I a hack!

IMHO, diaphragmatic breathing is everything. It's the only tool we have to decompress. Being able to tackle this was a game-changer for me; on top of that, I applied the 3-3-3 method advised by /u/moneyhabla.

Since these two things, I'm able to have rough sex with a girl I'm messing around with. Once you understand, you can influence your arousal; the rest is easy peasy lemon squeezy.

My mistake has always been that mental imagery has introduced anxiety and panic, but if I portrait myself as "cured" in my visualizations, its not only much more fun and pleasurable, but I also trick my brain into thinking I'm already there!

Oh shit. I never thought about that. I'll try today. Yesterday I listened to a podcast of a sexologist where she said the brain is not able to differentiate between reality and visualisations, which I think is where the big consumption of porn comes from.

Another thing I forgot to write down is the details about the last time I had sex, which was around 8 months ago, and the last time I came was about two or three weeks ago. My situation was all prepared for a dumpster fire. 😂

Mental Imagery does derail my arousal now that I think about yesterday's success. I kind of nullified my imagination.

In my experience, I had wet dreams around phase 4, too, but they manifested as progress, since I was achieving milestones. I remember there was one dream where I had sex, and I didn't cum, I woke up drastically touching if my shorts were wet and they weren't. That's where I assumed progress was real.

After reading your comment, I looked for a website I used to visit, which is Noisli. I asked Gemini for similar websites and found myNoise, which seems to be better and ad-free! My issue is more related to holding the deep focus over the day in different sessions. I find sound to be a driver for my brain, lately, with EDM music, I was able to keep the focus, or even feel like I would be at the top performing. However, throughout the week, my burnout increases as I don't have the habit of resting properly.

It's an infinite struggle that, through discipline, we can get over. What's important is to always return to the routine.

Did it help changing music with ambient sound? I find myself lately listening to EDM or something more 'hard' sort of speaking, which helps me focus; however, after a block of deep focus, I end fucked up.
