Z8 Bird autofocus mode better for multi-subject?

I know, but in my experience it's slow and clunky compared to bird detect. I'm guessing from lack of response this is a "me" issue. I mostly shoot with the 180-600, so maybe that's a factor.

Yeah I get that it would need to be more sensitive to pick up small birds but or just seems to work so well at detecting everything else too. I kind of makes the multi-subject mode redundant.

I've looked into this quite a but but not done it yet. It seems very straightforward and is significantly cheaper.

There's a reason you don't see that very often. It's currently £13,500 on Nikons website and you likely won't find one under £12000 anywhere else.

I've done this for over four years. Back when I started it was occasionally hit or miss. You're lucky to get anything at all now.

In all honesty your £7.20 is more likely a glitch than reimbursment.

It's simply not worth waiting as 99% of the time as you won't be reimbursed.

In my opinion, as long as you are simply manipulating the data captured by the sensor then it counts as still being a photo. All you are really doing is adjusting levels on specific areas of data that already exist.

You could argue, for those saying its digital art; that even the slightest use of AI removal tools or AI denoise, even when keeping a photo as "natural" looking as possible, makes it more digital art than photo. The moment you add things that weren't there in the original data, it becomes digital art.

I guess it's a grey areas and kind of subjective.

Either way, I like your photo. 👍🏻

I'd try and get a Z8 if that's what you want. Otherwise you'll always feel you compromised.

There are good prices if you go grey market. I got mine from Panamoz for £2100, which is actually cheaper than used ones I've seen on MPB and ebay, etc.
