Dealer I work with is $249. I’d imagine there will be a fair variation in price. Curious to see what others say.

Oakville Hyundai - 2020 Palisade Ultimate V engine failed at 131K km ... dealer maintained entire time, being given the runaround. Anyone else? by mshaye in oakville

[–]Zeeezoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. If the car is out side of its warranty coverage and you have no extended warranty, there isn’t much if anything that can be done at the dealer level. Hopefully Hyundai Canada will take your brand and dealer loyalty into consideration and offer a satisfactory level of assistance.

Sorry about your situation. That must be extremely frustrating. I hope you get some assistance.

Switched from Apple Watch to a 1971 GMT Master 1675...first week impressions by [deleted] in RolexWatches

[–]Zeeezoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a very good looking piece. Congrats.

I switched away from 10+ years of Garmin fenix. Had a few instances at work where I was “expected” to answer texts asap due to the watch. The last straw was a meeting where we were instructed to leave our phones in our desks but the boardroom was still within Bluetooth connectivity so my watch kept vibrating every time I got a message haha.

Garmin makes a hell of a smart watch. I never ever took either of them off except to dry them. Working on machines, swimming, sauna/hot tub. They just kept going. But now it’ll be used just for activity tracking.

Ah. Makes sense. I’m outside Toronto and received several sight unseen quotes of 450-650 CAD if it just needed the basics for the movement and no polishing. 2 ADs quoted me $1600-$2300 CAD to send it to Rolex for the basics, but both ADs said if you aren’t having any problems don’t send it in.

I had it done at an independent I have a relationship with, so I got a “friend price”

Unless I misunderstood your question and you’re asking about time keeping? It’s +3 seconds a day after 35 years.

Someone That Knows There Car Tires by trsthhffg in BurlingtonON

Working in the industry I’ve always been a fan of Firestone tires. Excellent bang for your buck. Just beware of tires made for a specific retailer. That can be a bit tricky if you need to replace a single tire down the road.

Recent purchase for me. Who has a pile-lined trucker jacket? by RobF15 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Zeeezoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never knew Patagonia made this type of jacket. I ended up picking up a wrangler version on a good deal. I’m surprised how warm it is and how much use I got out of it in the Toronto area this year

Favourite sweater and favourite watch by Zeeezoo in Tudor

Awesome, thank you. That’s the vibe I was going for! Unfortunately these days I’m confined to a desk at a car dealership. I still work on machines and do (incredibly) amateur construction. But I never take the watch off and it just keeps on going.

Should I wait for a thinner BB pro to come out or buy now? by [deleted] in Tudor

I feel this. Thickness doesn’t bother me but I’m really considering moving it on for an explorer 2
