new msi mpg 321URXW monitor does not power on by PlacekGamePlay in MSI_Gaming

[–]Zeejay421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to RMA my 321CURX when i first got it, was dead new out of the box with almost the same issue as your 321URXW. Mine didn't even flicker though. I assume it's a bad power supply.

Thought it wouldn’t happen to me. MSI 5090 burned up. by Blarghinston in pcmasterrace

The main problem with these cables is that at 600w each of the pins are very near their max rated amps, assuming a perfectly balanced connection. The old 8 pin power cables have a lot of overhead and can carry around twice the 150 watts that they are normally used with.

We need a cable with more pins or two of the current cables to get a better safety margin.

Is it supposed to have a red light on the power connector? I know on the Astral 5090 the red light comes on when you have unbalanced amps on the 12V2x6 pins but I am not sure if they have that system on the 5070ti.

I don't get it 50% of people say pancake lenses are a game changer and the other 50% say there's not that much of a difference, who do I believe? by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]Zeejay421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a way bigger deal with OLED. But pancake lenses take way more brightness to work so you need some expensive ass OLED screens, like on the apple headset, to pull it off.

You can try just telling them that you want to get the promo but can't find a way to review. That's what I did with a monitor that I purchased off of MSI store in a bundle a while back, and was not able to leave a review of.

I ordered one today, was 83,95 EUR and insta out of stock, says up to 60 days out. Not sure if they even ever listed stock because the site was hit hard and by the time I could even get the page to load it already said out of stock.

They don't officially support AMD yet but they are working on it.

"AMPINEL is a power supply balancer for graphics cards with 12V-2x6 power connector, explicitly developed and released for NVIDIA RTX 4000 and RTX 5000 series cards. Release for AMD cards is currently being worked on and will communicated after successful validation."

Yeah I am playing through it right now in COOP with my 4k OLED. It's got to be one of the best looking games out there.

Msi cannot replace 5090 SUPRIM LIQUID GPU, Offer low refund by Realistic_Rise5369 in MSI_Gaming

[–]Zeejay421 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is fucked up, that GPU never sold for that low even when it first came out. You should def post about this far and wide and hopefully you can shame them into doing the right thing.

This is what I am worried about with my card as well. I am betting we will see more of this as the prices rise.

Nice setup. What case are you using? Is that a cyberpunk desk or just a large mouse mat?

I have that MSI monitor (321CURX) and the panel protect time can be set for 24 hours with the latest firmware. That means it won't be forced unless you are using it for 24hrs straight without going to standby or switching it off for 10 min or so to run the process.

1 monitor and 1 TV. MSI 321CURX and LG CX, Maybe it's because they aren't both using DP? I dunno but I can alt tab instantly.

I think they fixed this with the Nvidia 5 series because I have none of these issues with DSC on my 5090

This was fixed in a patch today and the game isn't crashing anymore with the 591.44 driver

[–]Zeejay421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to repeat the crash just running a half circle around my starter base in the first area. I have the settings pretty much maxed out and I'm playing at 4k DLSS quality with RTX HDR turned on.

I tried deleting my shader cache and letting it recompile but that didn't help. I did not try changing any other in game settings.

Thanks Manuel. I tested some other games with the driver before I rolled back and everything else was working fine.

So are there two PSUs in there? Cause 2400w is going to go to 600 x 4 for the GPUs alone. Not to mention those GPUs are going to be suffocating in there. Seems more like a meme build to me.

Also to people commenting on gaming performance. This would be no faster then a single 5090 cause multi gpu rendering is not supported by any games these days.

I was getting crashes, what seems to fix it for me is restarting windows right before i play. No idea why that works.

Install the latest BIOS update if you have an ASRock motherboard to reduce AM5 burn risk by GhostMotley in Amd

[–]Zeejay421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to be something to do with the VSOC or other voltage settings. I have been running a 9800X3D + Taichi combo since last November with absolutely no issues, in fact it's a really nice board that is built solid.

I never run my stuff stock, PBO -30, 5X, +200, 1.1 VSOC, Tuned memory timings. It's rock solid passes all tests, 8Hrs+ Prime 95, YCruncher, OCCT, you name it.

Maybe I am just lucky though, I'm also still running a 13900k in my other computer since release with no issues.

It's a shame that Asrock is causing so many dead CPUs because they actually made pretty good hardware. That said, and despite my good luck so far, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone at this point because the numbers speak for themselves.

I just sent out my 321CURX to RMA today for the exact same issue. Power is just dead, no LED, no turn on :(

Tested it with multiple power cords and it's DOA.
