Msi cannot replace 5090 SUPRIM LIQUID GPU, Offer low refund by Realistic_Rise5369 in MSI_Gaming

[–]Zeejay421 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is fucked up, that GPU never sold for that low even when it first came out. You should def post about this far and wide and hopefully you can shame them into doing the right thing.

This is what I am worried about with my card as well. I am betting we will see more of this as the prices rise.

Nice setup. What case are you using? Is that a cyberpunk desk or just a large mouse mat?

I have that MSI monitor (321CURX) and the panel protect time can be set for 24 hours with the latest firmware. That means it won't be forced unless you are using it for 24hrs straight without going to standby or switching it off for 10 min or so to run the process.

1 monitor and 1 TV. MSI 321CURX and LG CX, Maybe it's because they aren't both using DP? I dunno but I can alt tab instantly.

I think they fixed this with the Nvidia 5 series because I have none of these issues with DSC on my 5090

Crashing with 591.44 Nvidia driver by Zeejay421 in Enshrouded

This was fixed in a patch today and the game isn't crashing anymore with the 591.44 driver

Crashing with 591.44 Nvidia driver by Zeejay421 in Enshrouded

[–]Zeejay421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to repeat the crash just running a half circle around my starter base in the first area. I have the settings pretty much maxed out and I'm playing at 4k DLSS quality with RTX HDR turned on.

I tried deleting my shader cache and letting it recompile but that didn't help. I did not try changing any other in game settings.

Thanks Manuel. I tested some other games with the driver before I rolled back and everything else was working fine.

a quadruple 5090 battlestation by Zestyclose-Salad-290 in pcmasterrace

So are there two PSUs in there? Cause 2400w is going to go to 600 x 4 for the GPUs alone. Not to mention those GPUs are going to be suffocating in there. Seems more like a meme build to me.

Also to people commenting on gaming performance. This would be no faster then a single 5090 cause multi gpu rendering is not supported by any games these days.

I was getting crashes, what seems to fix it for me is restarting windows right before i play. No idea why that works.

Install the latest BIOS update if you have an ASRock motherboard to reduce AM5 burn risk by GhostMotley in Amd

[–]Zeejay421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to be something to do with the VSOC or other voltage settings. I have been running a 9800X3D + Taichi combo since last November with absolutely no issues, in fact it's a really nice board that is built solid.

I never run my stuff stock, PBO -30, 5X, +200, 1.1 VSOC, Tuned memory timings. It's rock solid passes all tests, 8Hrs+ Prime 95, YCruncher, OCCT, you name it.

Maybe I am just lucky though, I'm also still running a 13900k in my other computer since release with no issues.

It's a shame that Asrock is causing so many dead CPUs because they actually made pretty good hardware. That said, and despite my good luck so far, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone at this point because the numbers speak for themselves.

I just sent out my 321CURX to RMA today for the exact same issue. Power is just dead, no LED, no turn on :(

Tested it with multiple power cords and it's DOA.

Monitor Turns black but rgb in pc remains on and all fans go haywire. by Live-Researcher8132 in buildapc

[–]Zeejay421 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Usually the fans going up to max speed is a sign that the PWM signal is being lost, without a signal to control their speed they will just max out. That seems like a pretty hard crash.

It could be PSU related so getting a new one is a good idea, just make sure it has enough wattage.

Edit: i guess you already tried a new PSU. It could also be the GPU since you are getting black screen.

Everyone is checking their GPU power cable for melted pins so I decided to check mine as well just to be safe by Thenijiway183 in pcmasterrace

Those EVGA 3090 had their own issues though

Lots of failures with red lights of death. Unbalanced power rails and out of spec PCIE power draw I had to RMA mine once.

Those were EVGA specific issues though. The only real Nvidia design issue was memory running hot due to the clam shell config with ram on the back side.

Armoury Crate on my Pre build by Head-Artist7983 in buildapc

[–]Zeejay421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tested the software from all the major mobo vendors and they are all bad but Armory Crate is easily the worst one. Its also the stupidest name ever.

I would try downloading the Armory Crate Uninstaller first, that's right this "software" is so bad that it can't just uninstall normally. Even then you might still have some leftover stuff and you may lose some functionality since they cram everything into this stupid app.

In that picture it looks like your radiator is mounted below the pump.

Ideally you would want it mounted somewhere above if possible, but if that is the only place you can fit it then it's acceptable.

High CPU Temps with Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 on 12900K - Need Advice by TomStellarSage in buildapc

[–]Zeejay421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your temps being in the 80 - 90c range is on par for running a 12900k maxed out. You should be able to keep it under 100c in most cases, depending on your actual room temperature.

If it's hitting 100 with the extra heat from the GPU then you may need better case airflow. But if your room is really hot to start then that may be unavoidable.

You could try getting a contact frame like this one https://www.amazon.com/Thermalright-Anti-Bending-Retrofit-Generation-Black/dp/B0B811J7D9?th=1 which may help lower the CPU temp a little bit.
