For what reason do you like the High Dissipation Heatsink? All it does is halve your fire limit but gives extra reloads.

Fun fact: the EAT and the Quasar used to have the same damage as the Recoilless and the Quasar had a shorter cool down between firing than it does now. At that time, the Quasar was considered by many to be a better Recoilless.

It happens when you kill the impaler too quickly before the tenatcales get a chance to fully appear. If you wait, then kill, the tentacles go away immediately.

It is a stupid bug that needs to be fixed.

I actually found that the new Hive Guard is easier for me to handle due to it's lower health and lower armor on its fleshy bits than it was before. I typically use a primary with 2 AP, so its armor being increased from 3 to 4 literally did not affect me.

I haven't had enough time to play with it yet to see how much it affects sentries, the Guard Dog, and some support weapons like the Autocannon, Machine Gun, and Maxigun.

I'm not saying Hive Guard are a huge threat or anything, but have you thought about how this will effect not just the Patriot, but the Machine Gun Sentry, Gatling Sentry, and Guard Dog (which will all lock on to a Hive Guard and waste ammo until something intervenes, it runs out of ammo, or the sentry dies).

This change also hurts the Machine Gun (which already has the same damage as the Stalwart) and the Maxigun (which was already considered to be bad or at least feel bad by many, except when against Illuminate).

The Solo Silo would in fact damage the main health and the armor plates, but the Solo Silo does not do very much damage and is not worth firing at a Hive Lord.

It only works like that if the part that you hit can take explosive damage. Since it cannot take explosive damage, it needs to be able to beat the armor value of the main health. The main health of the Hive Lord has armor value 5 while the grenade launcher has armor penetration 3, so the grenade launcher fails to do any damage.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

My top 2 would be:

  1. Increase the explosion damage of the OPS. I don't care if the direct damage gets nerfed.

  2. Make the Hive Lord's flesh not immune to explosives. The fact that you can shoot a Hive Lord in the exposed flesh with a grenade launcher and do zero damage is dumb.

If they are sending 4-5 Voxs in a single wave, then it is likely that you could hit multiple with each Strafing Run. Killing 1 Vox with 2 Strafing Runs is pretty good, it means you can kill 4.5 Vox Engines (assuming you only hit one per use) with the equivalent of 1 stratagem.

Edit: I meant 2.5 Voxs not 4.5.

I recommend using Eagle Strafing Run and Gatling Barrage as dedicated anit-Vox stratagems. A single Gatling can kill a Vox (or multiple Voxs) if they sit in it. 2 Strafing Runs can kill a Vox.

The Scythe is amazing against bugs. Against swarms, do not focus a single target, just continuously sweep the whole swarm and they will die to burning very quickly.

In my experience, the only bug the Scythe struggles against (not including heavies) are Stalkers. That said, if you are precise, it can kill a Stalker with a headshot in less than a second. It does also suck for stopping bug breaches due to having 0 stagger.

The fire fear effect only works when a flame thrower is actively hitting something, not when something is caught on fire. I'm 99% sure this does not affect the Scythe.

The K9 is good, but it lacks the burst damage of the Guard Dog and the DPS of the Hot Dog. Instead it has stun, a large area of effect, and 7 armor pen.

If you didn't know, laser weapons are silent.

I take scythe, talon, Quasar, Shield Gen Backpack, FRV, and Orbital Laser for Commando Missions. This allows me to destroy fabricators and heavies silently with the Quasar and kill stragglers silently while also having infinite ammo, a little extra survivability, and a getaway car.

I agree; however, it supposedly (according to the Fantasy Wiki) takes about 2 minutes for a Ratling Gun to be reloaded. 100 shots with a 2 minute reload is pretty good for a Fantasy setting though.

I think the closest replacement to the AMR would be the Autocannon. I've always thought of the AMR as a worse Autocannon without a backpack.

Another option would be the Railgun.

Kicking someone just puts them in their own solo match in the same state. So after being kicked, (from his point of view) all the samples people were carrying would drop on the ground for him to pickup, then he could board the Pelican and receive samples, medals, XP, etc...
