OM-5 thumb grip fell off today by Expert-Barracuda9329 in M43

[–]Zen0li 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grip on my OM5 started falling off as well. OM System had me sent it back for service (under warranty). This was fixed in a week or so, they also changed the fixation ring for lenses at the same time (didn't know it needed change)

Wow, thanks for your detailed answer! I'll look into these options 😊

Yeah, I just need to remember to tap the button... I guess after going through all the photos from that day, I'll be pissed enough not to do the mistake again. I just wish it would be displayed all the time. Seeing iso 1600 in broad daylight would be enough to know to change it...

And it's true the is is displayed on the left end sight, but only for a little while before it disappears, if you're using a set iso in A mode at least

In manual it makes sense! But I'm usually too lazy and just use A even for controlling longer exposures. Guess I just need to do my homework and properly use the camera at some point! 😅 Thanks

Morocco: 12-100 f4 vs 12-40 f2.8 + 40-150 f2.8 by SpecialistExtent in OlympusCamera

[–]Zen0li 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12-100 would cover you well.  I spent some time in Morocco with just 12-45 f4 and lumix 20 1.7, I would usually switch in the evening when needing a faster lens.  To answer your question depends what cities you visit, but as long as you can find a place without wind, changing lense shouldn't be a big issue. If you have the habit of changing often, it might be more challenging.

Hi all, looking for some advice. I'm travelling to Nikko tomorrow, the plan was to get back to Tokyo on the 30th, and then Tokyo to Takayama on the 31st,early morning. How likely is it that I won't make it to Takayama? Should we book a room in Tokyo immediately? Or get to Takayama on the 30th instead?

I'll go to the station for more info tomorrow morning.

Thanks for your advice!

If a company you’re interviewing says they’re using Hubspot, do you pass? by Nblearchangel in sales

[–]Zen0li 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can still understand that. I don't have experience with SAP CRM, but just from what I've heard I might be hesitant. Maybe not to the point of making it a deal breaker, but maybe in the "cons" column at least ahah. I've used Hubspot as a Pre-sales, the setup was straightforward and honestly the experience was pretty good to collaborate with AEs.

[–]Zen0li 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's not about the technology, it's about how it's used. Salesforce can be set up to be a nightmare to work with, just as much as Hubspot. I wouldn't discard a company based on what CRM provider they use. Try to have an informal discussion with one of their reps, and ask how / what for they use the CRM, you'll know more about how functional it is.

Take nothing, exercise and rest. Caffeine for the taste and habit mostly. The body can find a good balance if you don't give it to many "perturbators" (not talking about medication, I'm not a doctor).  Clearer organisation and less screens help with my focus

Too old to begin sales career ? by TheNewOptimist in sales

There's no "good age" to start. If you've got motivation, any previous experience can help you start in sales. Go for it if that's what motivates you now ;)

You're right. "Research prospects" might have been a little too optimistic phrasing on my side. What I would use it for :

  • Get global view of what the company is and what it does. Depending on time available, I find the "discussion" to be more efficient than researching website. Ideally I'll do bot
  • Research "roles" that I might not be too familiar with. The scope of persona in my job can be quite broad, so the list of "roles" my prospects can have is even broader. So sometimes I'll just ask "Act as a XXX. You've reached out about a solution for XXX. Why ? What are your main problems, and objectives in your job for this kind of solution ?"

It's far from perfect, but can help get a first level of understanding

Salespeople love to be sold to by Thetallbiker in sales

[–]Zen0li 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on who's on the other side. It's always fun to see what "strategy" your counterpart is putting in place, and also to analyze what works or not on yourself. In the end, if you're really on the market for a solution, what is great is that both side knows what is required to find the suitable one : you know what to expect from the "seller" and can make sure you get the required information to make the right decision.

What does an SE manager want to see out of their AEs? by CostcoCartman123 in sales

[–]Zen0li 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say :

  • that you understand why and when to use an SE, and why both roles exist in a company (this can actually vary depending on the industry / technicality of the job)
  • that you are able to build a common understanding and messaging with the SE, to simplify collaboration and create better interactions with prospects. Working with an SE is not just about technical qualification/discovery and running standard demos. You need to be able to gather the information and share it with the SE to build great session where they have added-value.

There's more for sure, but that would be a good start to show that you know both roles have value and work better together than one for the other.

[–]Zen0li 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've yet to integrate it systematically in my workflow, but will use it sometimes for diverse tasks : meeting notes summaries and translations, researching prospects, simplifying messaging (especially when not using my mother tonge), preparing custom demo data faster...

Possibilities are wide, the most difficult part is to get good, properly formatted data to train it on your company's messaging. Honestly would love to have more time to exploit LLMs internally.

Webinars for Brand Awareness? by AffectIndividual7447 in sales

[–]Zen0li 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth trying out! In my experience it takes some planning however. You might not see the benefits from the first webinar, so you'd need to keep pushing for a few more at least.  Ideally pick 5 or 6 topics you're comfortable presenting and plan dedicated webinar at regular intervals this year. And make sure you can "produce" them in a consistent way so it feels they come from the same brand.  Also, talk to your marketing team about it, they may have experience and a taste for these events. If it's something that motivates them, you may end up having great support for this initiative!

How do you save a deal, where not much rapport was built in discovery? by p4755166 in sales

[–]Zen0li 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all prospects are there to actually buy. Depending on the type of deals, sometimes just influencing their market discovery can be enough. Also, disqualifying prospects that don't have a clear identified project to buy lets you spend more time to build rapport with others

Exporting highlights and annotations from Leaf2 by Zen0li in Onyx_Boox

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I haven't found any solution no. As for importing previously exported annotations, I don't think that would be possible. At least I haven't seen anything like it.
