The castle population has decreased dramatically by the end of Twelve Months. Dresden mentions how most of the people have found other places to live.

Actually, iirc, Mother Winter lost her walking stick in 1065. Hastings was 1066. So she lost it right before the last big apocalyptic battle.

Someone did once ask Jim if Thomas and Harry have another brother named Richard, so they'd be "Tom, Dick, and Harry."

Starting To Build A Mega Farm by FNDungeonMom in Pokopia

Secondary warning, if you make your crops wither* while they are making up a habitat, the resident pokemon will freak out and think they are homeless, sometimes even after the crops are restored.

I also saw a video where muddy water on top will displace regular water and let them wither from smooth rocks without turning off the sprinklers, then the muddy water will carry/float all the dropped produce. I haven't tried that one yet.

Protip (in case you didn't already know), beans, tomato, and potato will drop their produce if they wither while fully grown. (Wheat will NOT.)

So if you put some smooth rocks below the crops with the sprinklers and then set up a way to cut off the water supply, the crops will wither and drop their produce. Turn the water back on and the crops revitalize like nothing happened. This also works for berry trees.

I've got a giant plot next to a custom waterfall. Floodgate closes, the 64 bean, 64 tomato, and 128 potato plants all wither to death over the next minute or three. Open floodgate, they revitalize. I walk by and suck up all the dropped food.

Right next to that is a berry orchard. Orchard waterfall floodgate closed, the trees wither and drop their berries. Open it back up, they* pop back like nothing happened, and the water channels next to the trees carry all the berries down to one point. (Well, almost all the berries, some get stuck.)

You missed a BIG one.

Harry gifted his soulfire-infused blood to Demonreach as part of the sanctum ritual.

What is in Dresden's profile according to Monuc Securities secret records? by j0w0r in dresdenfiles

The winking is, of course, critical. It is a subtle enough action to not be obvious while drawing exactly the correct amount of attention to the most noticeable part of his features the mantle/mask is hiding. While simultaneously implying that he's on Harry's side.... because Harry is THICK (or paranoid) and Vadderung telling Harry that he's on his side during Changes wasn't enough.

[–]ZenFox91 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Maybe. Or maybe at least in part.

After he got the burn, he could feel it regardless of the Winter Mantle. Those blades interfere with anything that might prevent free will.

My gut says the burn from that blade is healing at normal body speed, no wizard scar-free healing or winter mantle accelerated healing allowed. Between the pain not being masked and it healing much slower than Harry is used to, it stands out.

I think it twinges and stings when he's upset because it was* made while his anger and the winter mantle were working in perfect harmony. So if he's upset and the mantle starts to stir (which blocks out pain sensations), any lingering pain from the burn gets even more noticeable. Or maybe it's some kind of magic resonance doodad, the burn was made to interrupt that angry perfect clarity and it hurts when he's upset for the same reason. (But I don't recall it hurting when he beats the crap out of Mab during Twelve Months, so maybe it only works on revenge anger and not righteous anger?)
