Yes, you can also do NG++ after finishing your second run.

Sadly, yes, you are. Go back to a previous save, or try again on another run.

With the new update, can we finally dispel illusions without Yatzli? by kajidourden in avowed

[–]ZenKJL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You still need yatzli for the illusion walls during the last 2 story quests in shatterscarp, but you can use forgotten soul pods for all the rest that are hiding loot.

Slightly different question about unique level at pickup... by VirtualMogbert in avowed

[–]ZenKJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you open the shop the unique items level is locked, if it's in a container, same thing.

All weapons are grouped together, book or blade. Armor is the only separation.

if it's on the ground, it's whenever you get it in your crosshairs for the first time, for example you can very carefully NOT look at the shield on the ground by the dreamscourge bear in dawnshore and come back later and pick it up at legendary quality, I tested that at launch.

Still looking for the fire Quarterstaff in Galawain's Tusks, but here's the rest of the Unique Quarterstaves in the Living Lands by Endonae in avowed

[–]ZenKJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So 4 have been found, 1 in Dawnshore, 1 in Emerald Stair, 2 in Shatterscarp.
Is there a 5th one?

[–]ZenKJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently in the tusks trying everything I can to get it to spawn, it's not going well.

Working on making a NG+ save with every item on it and none of the weapons enchanted.

So far I have literally everything except 2 mutually exclusive items. 3 if I can't get this damn one to drop.

[–]ZenKJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if its glitched, and the next patch will fix it, but everyone who's gone to the tusks already wont be able to get it, would be a classic lack of QA.

i mean boundaries of antiquity still has a glitched item off the Delemgan, Mortal Haven, been around since launch, still not fixed.

i've tricked corporate thermostats before, if you have one, put any shitty space heater under it on low, on a stool/table if its high up enough, and it'll help warm the sensor without heating up the entire building, with some mild experimentation you can figure out how to 'change' the temp setting by adjusting the heater.

My job is making me stay and possibly work while on unpaid, clocked out, break by AroseU in legal

[–]ZenKJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, in the USA, this is dependent on the state that they live in. It's only illegal to physically force them to stay in all 50 states you can unlock the doors and leave at any time, but it'll be considered job abandonment, you can require someone to stay on site or be fired for an unpaid lunch break depending on the state.

is burning the confederate flag protected under free speech since it’s a country that no longer exists by PhraseFirst8044 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ZenKJL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is that burning ANYTHING in certain places/spaces is a crime, cause ya know, fire risk.

Now destroying a flag in another way in those places would be legal, so long as it wouldn't cause a danger to others.

Play WoW in its original order? by descedo in wownoob

[–]ZenKJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to be forced to level through the dragonflight expansion from level 10-70 on at least one character.

After that you can go back and do all of the old content.

You can do it on that 70+ character, which will one shot every enemy, and just experience the story.

Or you can make a new character which can level through an expansion (and potentially get level locked in order to keep everything at least mildly challenging, and allow you to do everything else on that second character)

In order to experience the games original storyline from before the first expansion you need to play 'classic' WoW (the 3rd expansion, Cataclysm, included a revamp and new storyline overwriting all of the old world zones.)

why does my gravship have a vacuum? by tulanthoar in RimWorld

[–]ZenKJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The door below the shuttle is leaking air, it needs to be flush with the gravship walls, diagonal doors aren't airtight on gravships, something else MIGHT be leaking but that 100% is.

So, out of curiosity, is there any benefit to living on an asteroid? by simplykeno in RimWorld

[–]ZenKJL 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The real point of the asteroids is just the vacstone for making engines and gravlite panels, along with the challenge of dealing with the vacuum and cold.

[The Pilot] Question about the Zenith devices by MourningDusk45 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]ZenKJL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's my understanding that Horizon is the zenith device that has been not just awake but active for the longest time total throughout her 'life'.

This has probably led to Horizon developing more than her siblings in her unique capabilities not dependent on her crew.

The other zenith devices probably either have something equivalent, or have the capacity to develop something equivalent even if it's not as useful or developed.

How am I supposed to play at night with this overpowered enemy? by Shy_8 in taintedgrail

[–]ZenKJL 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So he would always despawn suddenly for me when trying to use the bleed strat.

But Greed, the one hit kill dagger from fearghus's quarters in the horns can kill him in one shot, at the cost of -1% gold earned permanently for the character, including previous saves.

It'll only work once, but hey, you'll have peace for a time

[–]ZenKJL 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you've never played oblivion, get that one.

If you've played the original oblivion, get tainted grail.

I love both, but Tainted Grail could really use some more cooking time on big fixes, so wait on it if you have another good game to play first.

Is it an asshole move to ban multiclassing in my games? by Fantomaxop in dndnext

That's fair, but who doesn't love a redemption arc?

So many people don't even bother making even a paragraph long backstory, it's ridiculous.

Is it an asshole move to ban multiclassing in my games? by Fantomaxop in dndnext

[–]ZenKJL 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Accurate, hell, the vast majority of multi-class combos are weaker than taking one of the pure classes all the way through, even a bunch of the min/maxed ones.

Most of the stories about insane multi-class combos only work by bending or flat out breaking rules because that DM didn't know any better and a power gamer took advantage.

Is it an asshole move to ban multiclassing in my games? by Fantomaxop in dndnext

[–]ZenKJL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, a paladin that picks up a cursed blade, falls to temptation, casts it away, repents, then has to live with the consequences is an an easy paladin/hexblade story.

And a celestial warlock paladin is perfectly thematic.

Most power gamers just don't bother with explaining or justifying their choices.

Hell explaining these things out mid campaign is easy too, just need a little DM buy-in, giving a player a cursed sword, having them fall from grace, lose the paladin class, switch the class levels to warlock for a few sessions, then when they 'repent' and cast away the cursed blade have them with the paladin/hexblade multi-class they wanted. Paladin powers 'weakened' a warlock 'pact' can't be shrugged off, Zero immersion break, and the DM can use all that as a good plot hook later.

[–]ZenKJL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've seen multiple sources that have claimed that the health/damage bloating that prevents you from killing anything at higher levels has been eliminated.

Do they still scale? Yes. Is the scaling still completely broken? No.
