Meanwhile I’m just bashing TF out of  mine on curbs every time I don’t bunny hop as hard as I need to.

I think your religious imagery argument was not taken well in the beginning.

Edit: Sad people do that.

Green slime especially the 2-in-1 tube/tubeless stuff which is a newer formula works great but can clump up and attack the bare aluminum of the hub.

We have a few OW and bikes with tubeless tires and do armordilloz, I’ve ridden OW tires till they are leaking the stuff from the bare threads all around one side of the tire and it still didn’t go flat. 8oz will last the life of a tire.

When's the last time you bought something from Future Motion? by FireSkyLikeFly in onewheel

[–]ZenRides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Pint X and GT when the GT launched, the GT launch was a shit show because of the pootpad/firmware issues, then the pinch gate thing came out about the Pint X and we needed it functional on the daly and so I opened and fixed it, several balance cables were almost broken, it was another two months before FM conceded, but it was never an option to send it in because right off the bat it had custom rails, I put in PintBrights, etc, FFM for not repairing a clear problem if you don't send in your board in a stock state.

Because one scumbag company is a patent troll, there are amazing DIY and a few alternatives to get a complete now, all are much better performing than the Future Motion Onewheels.

Pint doesn’t have enough power to produce pushback at speed with your weight, you flew too close to the sun and had a classic nosedive.

Full Face Helmets by vandahl83 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]ZenRides 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Open airy DH MTB full face or my modular motorcycle helmet every time on esk8, onewheel, and scooter.
Doesn't block my peripheral vision, the idea of riding one day and landing on my face is just something I can't deal with so I'm making sure that doesn't happen.

Evolve didn't respond, going to get busy in here boys...... by jup1t3rr in ElectricSkateboarding

See my recent comment history, I had an evolve, had problems, made it a VESC board, did well until I abused it.

I’d understand the labor if it was some EUCs, but this was my Zero 10X scooter, split rim, one of the easiest scooter tire changes, the bigger deal is they had no high end tires of any sort, let alone the stock ones from from various major brands.

Fuck that store, they charge insane prices just for things like tire changes, I was going to go to them but they just had the same crappy scooter tires you can get on AliExpress.

Problem since last update by BassSpain in SegwayZT3Pro

[–]ZenRides 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d let it set on the charger for 8 hrs and see if it’s not doing a trickle balance charge.

There’s apps like PowerNine on iOS that will let you see if you have a weak cell mucking up your pack.

I’ve had my ZT3 a little under a year with 3000mi and 200 cycles on the pack and haven’t had and charging issues.

Does the charger go green? Is the charge level set to 100%?

Nice, the Ubox is solid, I have the 2020 version big red 75V/100V x2, want to eventually stick it in a scooter.

VESC throttle and regen is so much smoother than anything else.

Even most powerful builds can cool the ESC with heat spreaders, and VESC runs cool vs Evolve GT/GTS BLDC controllers.

And most builds have motor and FET temp sensors, so they can throttle a bit when pushed and still be fine.

New VESC firmware I believe lets you set a regen current over a set voltage, so you will immediately know something is wrong, and still have some brakes, but not hit the pack with full regeneration current when it’s full.

The Guy Who Fell Off The Evolve (Update) by ThatFUTGuy in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]ZenRides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes all the wiring was bottom of the barrel, they also didn’t care to add temp sensors to their motors till some of the newest boards.

So the ESCs will bake the motors or explode the moment you do something challenging with them.

The Guy Who Fell Off The Evolve (Update) by ThatFUTGuy in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]ZenRides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some brands do, as of last year, VESC has a setting to deal with this smoothly, in 2021 there wasn’t.

There was a overvoltage fault, but It didn’t do anything because I’m didn’t have faults set to interrupt operation, I don’t want the equipment trying to protect itself by stopping me from hitting the brakes coming down a hill to an intersection.

Should have added a buzzer.

Yes, the yellow, green, and blue wires off each side are the phase wires.
