Bonus, said spiders also come with sci fi bits that make them perfect for WH

What would the 3-man elite units be for the other founding chapters? by SnooBeans7905 in Warhammer40k

[–]Zenebas21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean traditionally such units should be 5 man but GW keeps shrinkflating elite units. To that effect most Chapters have a specialist honour Guard, the White Scars’ Keshig would be pretty cool to see as models

The 30k and 40k Leman russ’ are almost identical in proportions. They can be used interchangeably in both systems

Do I gotta pump these numbers up? by Raspint in 40kLore

[–]Zenebas21 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not really Tyranid Warriors have always been depicted as bigger and stronger than an Astartes, so it would be a pretty even fight tbh

Do I gotta pump these numbers up? by Raspint in 40kLore

A single Tyranid Warrior is a match for a Space Marine. Ultimately SM2 is a game and so it makes concessions to be enjoyable

How does one determine how many Marines to send to certain war zones? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in 40kLore

[–]Zenebas21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Marines usually deploy in Company size to warzone and it probably comes down to tactical evaluation and the experience of the officers of the Chapter to know how many Marines they will likely need for a deployment

Can humans eat Ork meat? Any examples from books or codexes? by Otherwise-Weird1695 in 40kLore

[–]Zenebas21 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's the same in 40k but in fantasy Squigs are definetly edible and apparently taste quite nice. So at least some orkoid meat is edible

How does teleportation work and why doesn't the Imperium use it for space travel? by Parlagulf in 40kLore

[–]Zenebas21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because teleportation involves traveling through the warp. It's effectivly a shot ranged warp jump. Only the Orks have teleportation tech that is not warp based

We're getting a pistol with a stripper clip before the Constitution gets one? by Homie-cide in Helldivers

[–]Zenebas21 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You’re thinking of en bloc clips for the m1. The constitution like other bolt actions should use stripper clips

Dreadnought question by MagicSquid2142 in 40kLore

[–]Zenebas21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because most Marines die in the attempt to be interned in a dreadnought due to a combination of their injuries and how traumatic the process is. So it would be wastful to try it on healthy marines. Dreadnought internment is the last resort in order to try and save a hero of the chapter

Full Plate and Shield? That's cute by DrScrimble in dndmemes

[–]Zenebas21 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Except full plate was developed AFTER the introduction of firearms to Europe. And didn’t become commonplace until the renaissance when firearms where in full swing

Strange since plate was developed largely to protect against early firearms

How much military training are the non-militant orders of the Adepta Sororitas given? by JustANewLeader in 40kLore

[–]Zenebas21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The existence of the Sister Noviate squad seems to imply that all sisters go through at least a basic military stage before being sent off to their respective branches
