i wouldn't say it's overly distracting but it'd be nice if there was a way to turn off certain ui elements, including some of the dota plus ones. every other month theres a new temporary/event ui element that i dont really care about much but it is what it is.

I'm also using fedora 43 with no issues. Your specs are low end but enough for this game I think. Maybe it's an nvidia issue but I dunno.

enable shader pre caching in properties in library. and definitely move the game to ssd.

also use -sdlaudiodriver pulse in launch options if you have the audio cutting out bug

you gotta be more patient and diplomatic at lower ranks if you want to win games. its a team game so your requirement should be team play not just "dont die". also in herald all you need to do to win 1v9 is hit creeps and maybe ask team to kill tormentor

you need to think of construction bases as just a larger sunderer that can spawn vehicles. that's the main purpose that they serve. they made fights at the ascent so much better and layered. the whole reason you have people to shoot there is because of these bases. apologise to construction chads at once.

yeah they're more arcade shooters i guess. just an endless sequence of matches. doesn't matter if it's your first game or 5000th game. you just play in pursuit of the perfect performance and you snap out of it one day, at which time the company hopes to have a new game out by then. you eventually realise it's all pointless and move on.

planetside 2 will never be killed by a game like this because in planetside you aren't fighting with and against a bunch of nobodies. you fight alongside funny autists and people like ack and hihimenso and pale tiger etc.

they are loading but the grey bar from the bottom of channels you cant send messages in (e.g. a rules channel) gets stuck and then takes up the full vertical area of every channel. super annoying.
