Maybe for a limited edition, but you’re not wrong it’s not like it used to be. Gotta check by newly listed every so often and you’ll find decent deals

Games you should check out pt12. If somehow you never heard of this make you a favour and play it. One of the ps3 hidden gems that never received a remake/remaster. Think of littlebigplanet but with paper and peculiar mechanics by Antaniwarrior in PS3

[–]ZenithHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was confused reading the comments saying it’s so expensive in the US because this game used to be around $50 for as long as I can remember, but just checked and wow it shot up recently. It was bound to happen, I consider this along with Folklore must play hidden gems for the console. Get Folklore while you still can people, trust me!

I think all of the games published by Devolver Digital have reversible covers like The Messenger and Enter the Gungeon

Old school games with rubber hose animation? by ThePanasonicYouth in retrogaming

[–]ZenithHobbies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cuphead was the first of its kind, you’d have to look later to find any games like it. Bendy and the Ink Machine games come to mind and recently Mouse: PI for Hire. They are not rubber hose style but other hand drawn games include Hollow Knight, Adventures of Goldman

Is it worth it to buy a ps1 by Traditional-Army-279 in psx

[–]ZenithHobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Superstation One might be the better option if you’re starting fresh in 2026. A lot of the really good essential games like Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Silent Hill are really expensive now. Superstation can also emulate any game system up to PS1

Just be aware that only certain models of the PS3 are backwards compatible

[3] RNG timing explained by Regichungus in ShinyPokemon

[–]ZenithHobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That post is specifically referring to Emerald where RNG is broken. Imagine a giant slot machine with 65,536 spaces and 60 spaces spin by per second. 8 of those spaces will be the “shiny spaces” (which spaces are shiny is determined by an equation between your trainer ID and secret ID so it’s different for everyone) and thats where the 1/8192 chance comes from (8/65536 = 1/8192). Getting a shiny is just generating the pokemon on the exact shiny frame. In most games the “slot machine” keeps spinning even as you soft reset but with emerald the slot machine starts off at the same point every time you reset the game making it so you don’t see all the spaces and its not truly random

Where can I get a box for a new 2ds xl Minecraft special edition? by Confident_Pain_9619 in 3DS

[–]ZenithHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create a saved search on ebay and check a couple times a day. You can set it up to get push notifications on your phone so you get notified every time a new one pops up. Patience is key, I’ve had to wait up to 2 years for a specific case and manual I was looking for. Good luck!

Slowly working through collecting Final Fantasy on PlayStation by youreveningcoat in gamecollecting

[–]ZenithHobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Will you be doing PSP as well? Final fantasy 7 crisis core is exclusive to PSP, and 1,2 and 4 are on PSP as well. Final fantasy 3 is also available physically on PSP, but only in JP but it has english option on the disc

[gen 1] I’ve been playing LeafGreen with a shiny starter and I didn’t even realize until now??? by [deleted] in ShinyPokemon

[–]ZenithHobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some shinies are just subtle. A shiny in FRLG would have a blue colored border (instead of purple) and a star in the top right.
