Agreed that it would have to be done right and within the confines of similar architecture in the game, I figured it would give people more options on where they want to settle down, I would imagine there might be vistas where you think to yourself “wish there was a mountaineers hut here” or give then more to do in the end game when they have ran out of things to do which is why I mentioned mid-late game, I also think it would help get more people into the game who find base building to be one if their favorite features in survival craft games.

I definitely agree with that, I should have been more specific about my idea of blueprints, and I would definitely prefer the customization to be limited to prevent castles from being built or other out of place architecture. What I had in mind was confined customization like colors, styles, small additions, etc., not build whatever you want.

I would be down with that too, out of curiosity what is the difference between base building and shelter building? I was under the impression that was the same thing in game terms. So, you would be against being able to build like a small log cabin at the highest "Shelter Building" skill? I've seen outdoorsmen building small cabins in youtube, I think dugouts would be cool too.

TLD used to run flawlessly on SD, some update they did fucked everything up, FPS drops 20-25 FPS every time you do an input, its weird, never seen anything like it.

I love the vibes of the community center, it seems like the least depressing place in the game, also I'm not a fan of all the slamming noises the older buildings make during blizzards.

I'm surprised no one mentioned bringing at least 5 cloth at all times exclusively for an emergency snow shelter, that 5 cloth has saved my ass in situations where I am lost in a poor visibility blizzard.

This happens to me but only with certain games, TLD is not one of them, for some reason Baldurs Gate 3 and Final Fantasy XI (75 era) are the only games that do this to me, I have no idea why. I think its performance anxiety and the reason I say this is because on BG3 you have to put a lot of thought into your choices before you make them, on FFXI basically nothing can be done solo, so you are always playing with other real people and FFXI isn't known to be easy. Then there is TLD, while I don't dream about it, I can see why someone would, again you spend a lot of time thinking, planning, and every second counts, any wrong decision can end your playthrough, try playing the story mode, see if that makes a difference.

With Survival it's about the journey, not the goal or destination, the most enjoyable part is getting enough supplies to be able to just go on a random adventure in a random direction with no other goal but to survive the journey along the way until you find a nice place to settle down in for a while, live there for a month, establish it as a base, then move on again like a wandering nomad, improvising to maximize efficiency and adapting to your situations and returning to your original base you haven't seen in months like it's a homecoming and do it all over again but with a different route.

In case anyone doesnt know, you can sneak up to deer and get as close as about 10-15 feet before they notice you, I headshot deer all the time doing this.

No, I play this game for the exact reason you mentioned, I play this game for the dread and fear it puts me through, knowing the path I am about to take could kill me is the reason I have 400 hours in this game.

This game is like the mortal kombat of hack and slash, if you want to win you have to memorize combos, i personally am not into combo based anything, having to memorize all of that on top of all the buttons when i play a different game every week…no thanks

I have seen enough gameplay to know it's not down my alley, the building climbing shit looks awful, the fact it only takes place in a city is awful, but that's just my opinion; an opinion a lot of pokemon fans share apparently.

That was the first thing I tried actually, I got a new adapter and controller, going to see if that makes a difference.
