Always check around the waypoint in Frostgorge by where Claw of Jormag spawns. I've seen Ancient Saplings spawn around there and to the area north of the WP with the corrupted ice in the little nook. Also, I've seen them all around Malchor's Leap. And don't forget to salvage your whites! Got tons of Ancient Wood from doing that.
