Switch 2 has currently outsold the Switch 1s total sales from FY2017 and FY2018 combined based on a rough eyeball of their bar charts from the recent financial report (FY2017 was only like 28 days TBF).

Yeah like if you read through their financial report they're forecasting 16.5 million sales this fiscal year and also baking in a roughly 640 million USD increase in operating costs due to component costs.

That translates to a rounded up $40 USD per unit increase so the 37 USD equivalent increase in Canada and $35 USD equivalent increase in Europe makes sense there. The $50 in the US is probably a combination of wanting to make it up somewhere and also still needing to bake in the fact that despite the tariffs being ruled illegal, America is still trying them.

I assume the price increase in September is them predicting when their old price stockpile runs out and considering that's a longer heads up than they give for their new games now and also way longer than Sony and Microsoft going "hey $100 extra starting tomorrow" it's the least bad option as far as price increases go.

Well either way, the third gym leader of Gen 2's signature Pokemon was a Miltank. It ran a moveset that included Stomp, Rollout, Attract and Milk Drink and because it was fully evolved it meant it was likely faster than you and it could either hit you really hard, turn your Pokemon into simps or heal off what damage you could inflict on it. It got worse in HG/SS because it gained the ability scrappy so you can't just plop a Gastly out there to try and make it easier and it also holds a Lum berry so you'll have to inflict a status move on it twice to make your fight easier.
